Wow the gears sound terrible, like they are skipping or stripped. So I took the servo apart and inspected the gears. Everything looked ok, but one gear was rubbing on the case. After a little shave with an exacto knife it was a little better. But the skipping/stripping noise was still there. I'll try it in the car and hope for the best.

When it arrived, I was really impressed with the packaging, but.. when I fitted it into a MST drifter, I was shocked at how cr4p it is. I'd give it a lower rating if I could. For $26, I expected better.
Good for retracts, and that's about it; definitely not good for the steering on my drift car which is what I bought it for as it wont return to centre cleanly.. far too much play in the internal gears in this servo.
MG995's perform better than this servo.. at a fifth of the price (off ebay..)

Sorry, but this one missed the mark.

I'm ruuning with this servo for 3 weeks now in a Dex210 ( no servo-saver ). Good speed, good torque. Build quality is OK. Had to tight the bottom screws and the brand sticker doesn't even fits where it belongs ( LOL ). So far I'm very happy with it. I've been comparing it to some other brand's more then twice the price and can't see any difference in performance !

Ordered 3 and all were faulty. Glitching and wouldn't hold a position properly. Completely unusable.

Rubbish product, sent mine back as the speed was nowhere near rating. My old basic analong hitec servo is much faster! A rock crusher also operates smoother than this servo.

Despite this Hobbyking claimed it was not faulty!? How can this be?

While this servo is small, it is still a bit on the heavy side, but also cheap, strong, fast and a perfect match for racing my 1/10 touring car (Sakura Zero S) at the local track.

Brilliant! I am using this servo for steering on my 1/10th touring car. Compact , fast, accurate, powerful and comparitively small power consumption. Cannot believe the quality for the price.

These servos have a very fast response. I have used 2 of these as retract servos. They are slim height so can be used in place of a normal retract servo. I used a Turnigy 3 channel speed regulator to slow down the speed. This makes for nice scale deployment of the gear.
They are a bit noisey even when no load is on them. Lots of torque and being proportional the end points can be set to get perfect travel on the gear control rods.
