The RV-4 is one of the most succesful and best selling "home-builds" in the world, the RV-4 is an aerobatic aircraft that is quite capable in terms of cross-country, in fact this particlar model is based on the RV-4 used by Jon Johanson for his famous Millenium 2000 Round the World Solo flight.
This great looking ARF is built using a traditional semi sheeted light-ply/balsa construction for a combination of low weight and strength. The covering is printed to give a high detail finish which includes panel lines and rivets while the high gloss finish makes for easy cleaning and excellent durability. The RV-4 is supplied with a very comprehensive hardware kit that includes a unique engine/motor firewall mount system for either glow or EP power trains, an alloy spinner, fuel tank & engine mounts, heavy duty & anodised clevis and pushrods, etc. The RV-4 is also practical, the tail is removable and the wings are a plug in arrangement, the model also features robust main under-carriage and a steerable tail wheel.

2 evenings to build, very easy. used asp 61 4 stroke. flies great, very stable flight, don't like to be inverted. first day in air totaled 3.5 hours. only bad part is the wheel skirts. they held up for only 2 landings.Hallo,sauber aufgebautes Modell, nur Passgenauigkeit des Seitenleitwerks nicht hundert prozentig.

Schwerpunkt 80mm, vorderkante Flgel.Nice airframe, not much to do in terms od assembling air frame. just mainly bolts. Cowling is a little flimsy. price is great though! thank HKohoh ! no hatch for the battery on top of the fuse ??? i'm waiting HK answer.
All other parts are fine. easy build, nice fit. First time i see an undercarriage bolted on antivibration dump. Fuse is wider than other VMar products (arrow...) and 9cc gasser will fit easily. No big propeller as UC is short. Does the wingtips work as winglets ? I'll tell you after maiden.First of all, it was necessary to put in tension all the covering, because it was full of bubbles. The tailwheel is connected to the rudder with a ridicoluos pin, therefore I have modified it. The mail wheels structure, must be modified in order to avoid that the sharp edges of the aluminium structure, damages the bottom side of the nose. Avoid to use this plane with combustion engines, because its quality is not adequate. A lot of lead was necessay for balancing it. At the end of this story, it flies well, but use it only with an electric motor.Vuela genial, si solo das vueltas con el, en el momento de hacer algo fuera de eso te lo cargas, yo lo he estrenado esta maana 08 de marzo del 2015, ha salido perfectamente, no he tenido ni que trimarlo, a las dos vueltas realic un rizo y todo bien, a la siguiente vuelta he ido a hacer un looping y en la bajada con motor a ralent se han salido las dos alas, estaban perfectamente montadas y ajustadas y por supuesto sujetas con sus correspondientes tornillos, pero han salido disparadas una a cada lado, el fuselaje no ha resistido y se ha hecho aicos, de tal forma que solamente han quedado treinta cm del fuselaje el resto hecho astillas y sin embargo las alas han cado al suelo y sin ningn rasguo, eso s los tornillos estaban sujetos a la perfeccin y con su trozo de fuselaje, el avin es precioso pero no es volable al 100pcnt, o eso o es que me ha tocado el malo , por eso mi valoracin para este modelo es totalmente negativa.Je viens de recevoir mon colis et en faisant l'inventaire des pices il manque le stabilisateur horizontal complet ce qui mempche de l'assembler.

Manual is missing. According to customer support there exist no assembly instruction for this model. ???
Wheels do not fit in the wheel pants and cant turn.
The slot in the fuselage for the vertical stabilizer is so badly aligned with the fuselage that the plane will fly in very tight circles. It is so badly align that the tail section has to be rebuild and I do not have the skills for that. And it shouldnt be necessary with and ARF model
Hinges for flaps and ailerons glued with some kind of yellow glue and the excess of this glue is not removed
One aileron are glued with different spacing to the trailing edge of the wing
A now have an open case in HK customer support to replace the fuselage.
I really cant recommend this product at all.

I have powered it with a Turnigy G46 brushless motor with a 80A DLUX esc.
It runs great on a Turnigy Nano-Tech 5s lipo 5000 mah. 3 blade prop 12 x 8.
Haven't got any regrets buying this wonderfull plane :-)excelente lo recomiento
