Do you feel the need for speed? The Hobbyking Viperjet is a true, fully aerobatic speed machine with stunning good looks to match it's performance.

The Viperjets composite fuselage and pre-covered built up wings help propel it's slippery shape to blistering speeds, the flaps help to slow it down enough to land at almost any flying field, the inclusion of a rudder means a wider envelope of aerobatic performance over the usual bank'n'yank capability of so many jets in this class, giving the pilot so much more to explore beyond simply outright speed. The "winglets" will provide lift, right down to the slowest of speeds, meaning a greatly reduced stall speed and excellent flying manners.

A full hard-ware kit is included, smooth inlet ducting is pre-installed, just leaving you to fit the supplied efflux tube. Fixed landing gear is also included or you can belly land. The large canopy area gives you plenty of options for Lipoly batteries, ranging from 4s~6s for the real speed freaks!

Setup:
Wemotec mini fan HET 2W18
4 cell 4000mAh nanotech
Turnigy Brushless ESC 85A w/ 5A SBEC
Drawing 70 amps max.
Using 6x metal gear servo.
Weight app. 1.8 kg
This plane needs speed to keep flying.
So jumpstart with bungee. Fan motor are running smooth (low noise) but need to gain speed especially during turns to avoid stall.
Put flaps up slightly during landing. (have no landing gear)

Bought this Viperjet recently and its not as good as i was hoping, all reviews i read had said this was a quality plane, for some reason mine does not fall into this category. The wings & tailplane are both excellent but the fuselage is fairly poor, the canopy would not fit without a lot of sanding to the fuz and a new hole drilled for the retaining pin at the front as this was miles off centre, the 2 inner intakes did not align up where the fan front sits and the overall finish is very lumpy.
Is mine just a bad one out of the batch??
If i was to be paying more for this kit i would have sent it back but due to its low price its still good value.

Just arrived last night, no damage from shipping :) the fiberglass work is not is good on this one, things don't line up right. Elevator servo spot is in the wrong place, can't close canopy. Duct work doesn't terminate at 70mm it's off by 10mm in some places. I believe the vertical tail is not straight and the retract mount for the front is way off, tilted too one side . All in all not very good quality , I hope it flies .

I received the package very well, but I get less than I expected, the first servo mount for the elevators and rudder look at glue incorrectly, causing the canopy can not be closed when the servo was installed

Secondly, I get the wrong tire mount where I got were two iron for the front tire and just a tire iron to the back. as well as for some other items that do not fit. I have to spend extra energy to set up and customize. I hope next hobbyking notice

Just inspected mine. All parts nicely made. Looks very pretty. I just bother myself wether this plumb duck will ever fly half decent. So the main task is to keep weight beyond 2000gr
Sorry 4 this, but less would be more in this case.

Very beautiful plane, nice finish on the outside.
Only polyester shell but not to heavy if you;
-pull out all the wood in the nose,
-put the 3 servos for rudder an elevator in the stab and eliminate these long and heavy pushrods
-throw away these heavy, unbalanced and twisted wingtips,
-shorten as much ass possible the end of the thrust tube of the fuselage and align it to the rudder.
Motor setup: HET6904 & HET1W30 / TGY K-Force 100 / 4000mAh-4s-55c
Flying weight : 1kg900gr (with flaps installed but no weehls or retracts > on bungee)
Thrust :2kg100gr
REALLY FASSSSSSSST and endless vertical climbing !!!
Flies like on rails but becomes very quickly hard to see.
Only DANGER: if you pull to hard in a U-turn it has tendency to roll in the curve and fall in a very nasty tailspin!
Thats what happened to mine after a very nice flight; I immediately ordered a new one !!!!!!!! :-)
