Great Combat Motor

Apr 04, 2020

I've had two of these motors with the intent of combat robots. The value is great considering the power and efficiency. I have however had to make 1 working motor from two broken ones.
Disclaimer: These were both my fault as I build combat robots, and things get pushed to the limit.
The first break I had was over-tightening and snapping a shaft. The outside shaft is very weak for what it is, and isn't actually a solid 5mm of aluminum since it has to accommodate for the 3mm shaft running through the entire motor.
The second break I had was just overheating at a weird time. I ran 4 fights and at least an hour of testing in a pretty brutal combat robot with no issues. I then got home, tested it, and it burned up from a lack of airflow.
Again, all my fault, and these are still great motors. Just take these things into consideration if you're good at breaking things too. Here is the finals fight of that robot I was talking about. The robot using this motor was the white robot that spun a "shell" around the entire thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKoNVUE2G_s

Good! Slightly misleading

Good motors for a small quad - My complaint is that the stickers on the motors say the opposite direction that they should... The nut should self tighten under a load and all of my motors came with backwards labeling.

Small surprise ...

Jun 06, 2019

Well I had my doubts , but with an ever growing number of foamy planes built , I needed some small motors. these seem to put out plenty of thrust and are very cheap, good for builder on fixed income. Fact is I ordered 10 more , 4 will build out tiny quadcopter and 6 will go into Flite Test Minis ...

Using this on my Flite Test Mini FT-22 Raptor. Lots of power, and a great price.
