The QR Infra X features leading edge technology including a 6-axis gyro stabilization system making this micro quad ultra stable, on-board infrared sensors used to avoid collisions with obstacles and an ultrasonic module system to provide automatic altitude holding. This makes it the first "ready to fly" micro quadcopter on the market today with this technology!

Normally, building and setting up of a quadcopter requires lots of time, tuning and having to choose your own power system/components. Add to that the addition of IR sensors and ultrasonic altitude holding and you may need an electrical engineering degree to set it all up... Well, have no fear because the QR Infra X takes away all of the complicated setup and makes it as easy as opening the box, charging the batteries and flying!

The Infra X is very capable with plenty of power to spare. In normal mode, it's stable flight characteristics make it stress-free for the less experienced quad pilot. Switch it to aerobatic mode and it's very responsive for those looking to push it to it's limits. When in aerobatic mode, the responsiveness is greatly increased which allows for flips, rolls and loops to be performed!

From basic flying with altitude holding and obstacle avoidance, to amazing quad aerobatics, the QR Infra X does it all. All this and it's still small enough to fit in the palm of your hand!

The QR Infra X comes completely ready to fly with the Walkera DEVO 4 2.4GHz transmitter included. The DEVO 4 features a simple, easy to use control layout and is very ergonomic. This package also includes the flight battery, USB dual battery charger and spare propellers.

I had problems with the propellers coming off, a little dab of thread locker in the prop hole fixed that then let it sit for a few hours then fly it. I got 3 750mAh batteries this increased the flight time. I found the sensors are quite sensitive so you have to be prepared for sudden moves away from objects, altogether a fun machine but not for beginners because of the IR sensors. The body is pretty flimsy though.

Very fun to fly but 4 stars because the sensors don't work very well.

Relatively easy to fly, although onboard stabilization software susceptible to gyro and accelerometer drift typical of these parts.

When part arrived, lower left motor cable was pinched during factory assembly, and slightly pulled out of connector. This lead to quad tending to pitch uncontrollably. A quick recrimp and redressing of cables fixed that. CHECK the connectors when you take it out of the box

This quadcopter drifts a lot and trimming did not help much. The IR sensors will only work well in a large space, try using it in a room and it will be flying all over and end up crashing into something as it over reacts to items in the room.

The altitude hold works but became more of a problem when used in doors and there are furnitures and stuff around.

Ended up turning off all the sensors and noticed that it would suddenly climb on its own and lowering the throttle slightly caused it to come down to ground instead of stop climbing or lower its altitude slightly.

Quite hard to fly in a small area.

Nice looking ,on first flight took of to left hit corner of wall and broke one leg easily ; fixed with some steel epoxy . Need to initialise on ground with transmitter to set 0 altitude. It suddenly jumps up while passing over obstacle-altitude held by ultrasound ( table for example ) and can hit the lamps ( so not for home ) . Obstacle avoidance works OK only for large spaces like a small hangar as it swings fast away from obstacle only in low speed ( so if something near on opposite side - it hits ) if going fast - it will hit , weak obstacle avoidance from front ( maybe because of the protruding nose impeding infra-red signal)-practically it hits . It can become home-worthy if the algorithm of obstacle avoidance leads to stop movement rather than swing fast in opposite direction . May need to add top-ceiling sensors so not to roof. Fun in large spaces with flat surface ( no,furniture) not for home . No position hold , so it drifts all the time , forget using a camera as FPV - next to impossible to control in tight spaces .
