Very powerful motor for mini rc cars (1/16). Quality is great for the price and time will tell how this will handle good bashing. Recommend!

Not a bad motor by any means, though slightly unrefined - which I put down toi the bearings. Very powerful on a 3S for sure: I used it (with a water cooling jacket) on an outrigger I built along with a 50A water-cooled ESC. Pushing a 35 mm 1.6 pitch prop in a static test I was able to get the ESC wires to smoke and the ESC to reduce power on overload but it was reliable and cool. Getting 75KPH on the outrigger.
3S is definitely the limit: pumping more volts just heats it up and the bearings start to rattle. Without cooling it heats very rapidly even on no-load so some type of cooler is required whatever the application IMO.

Early days yet but it looks very promising. I am running it in HK wooden sponson race boat that I have modified with a Carbon/Kevlar skin and additional sponsons at the rear. The motor howls well running on a 3S. The only issue I had is the HK 28 sized motor cooler. BTW the motor itself was 28.03 AFTER chamfering the end of the can with some cunning to get the cooler past the O rings so be warned. After there is a mere 0.4mm of a gap around the periphery for water to flow around - to me this is compromise as it sets up too much back pressure and restricts flow through the ESC as well-=not a good idea. But this is the fault in the design of the cooler, not the motor.

The spec and the product config table don't agree on the shaft size, but this motor does in fact have a 3.175mm shaft. A LOT of torque from this motor. I am running it in a tacon thriller.

Great little motor. Have it in a Tacon Valor 1/14th scale monster truck and it is awesome. It's paired with the 45A Turnigy Trackstar ESC and both stay cool. It's hard to keep the truck on its tires and will do back-flips on command. Love it!

Most turnigy stuff is metric but this is all standard... 1/8th shaft. Odd. Replacement bearings are 1/8 by 3/8 by 5/32 deep. Turnigy bearings suck so I'll be replacing them with teflon sealed ceramic bearings. To get the back end off take out the 3 screws and tap the shaft end gently with a hammer. There is glue inside that sometimes bonds to the back of the case, many light taps are better than a hard one. I bought 4 and will likely buy more if they hold up to some abuse.
