Very nicely made and covered, this Hobbyking Yak 54 Profile is a brilliant 3D performer and just so much fun to fly. A fast, low cost build is the order of the day and the combination of an ultra thick, large wing, very low flying weight and huge control surfaces offers the 3D pilot a model that can take everything thrown at it!
Dry Weight: 185g
Wing Area: 20.5dm2
22mm/100w Bell Outrunner Brushless Motor
800mAh 3s Lipoly Battery
4 x 8g~9g servo
Very similar to chinn Yak which is no longer available, this just has a thicker aerofoil and the servos mounted near the tail making it need a 1600mah battery to get a reasonable balance instead of 1000mah although flown with no landing gear. Still a little tail heavy with the recommended motor and 1600 battery but longer flight time and great fun to fly. Very stable with the thick aerofoil (more than the chin which is good) Goes together very quickly. Love it. Some great small planes at hobbyking. Good value. Gave it 5 as I like the longer flight times. Probably should have given it a 5 for quality. Everything's a playoff and it's a little differentme llego mi avion completo, buena calidad, al volarlo y usar el centro de gravedad recomendado qued un poco pesado de cola, pero aun asi volo de maravilla, el 3d se hace casi solo con este avion, buena compra .Just received this plane.
Quality is very cood. Covering - perfect, no bubbles, wrinkles.
Came in different color sheme than on fotos.
Wing is very solid but fuse a little bit weak.
True dry wight is 279 gramm!!! with all parts and finding.
Instruction recommend 300 class motor, but i think is not enough for 3D.
Servo bay size for all servos 22*12mm.It`s pretty good plane,it`s so good fly,but i don`t recommend this plane for beginners: in first crash i broke front, and in second - tail. This plane has too weak front, tail, and also all fuselage for 3D flying. But it`s so good covered, assembled and pretty cheap.4 stars.
