The Dancing Wings Hobby Spacewalker laser cut balsa kit is a semi-scale model of an American homebuilt single-seat airplane. The Spacewalker is reminiscent of the open cockpit monoplanes of the 1930s such as the Ryan ST. The model is uniquely supplied with most of the parts necessary to finish, this is quite unusual for a balsa construction kit. It includes the brushless motor, propeller, ESC, 4 servos, spinner, decals, and covering material, you will just require a 4ch radio and a Lipo battery once it is built.
All the wooden parts for the Spacewalker are precision laser cut to produce an accurate, lightweight airframe. It is relatively straightforward to build, however, we do recommend that some experience in building a wood model airplane has been gained previously. Most of the components are constructed over the detailed, high-quality printed 1:1 building plans. The supplied lightweight, semi-transparent yellow iron-on covering shows off the beautiful structure of the Spacewalker, this enhances the classic vintage look of the model.
This is a fantastic kit and due to its ease of construction, it is perfect for the seasoned builder or those with a limited amount of building experience. Once covered and finished and with the addition of scale accessories such as a pilot and instrument panel this semi-scale-looking Spacewalker will really look the part. It will turn heads at your local flying field when performing lazy aerobatics or low, slow passes at your local flying field. You will also be proud of the fact that you have constructed this model from a kit of parts which is quite an achievement.
