The Dancing Wings Hobby Savage Bobber is a small, lightweight foam model that is quick and simple to build. The full-size Savage Bobber was devised by the Zlin Aviation Company. The Bobber as in the motorcycle world means that it is a stripped-down, customized version of an original. The Savage Bobber is a stripped-down, customized version of its older brother the Savage Classic. It is lighter, more maneuverable, and has a slightly narrower fuselage, and the absence of covering to the rear of the fuselage greatly improves the crosswind handling.
The kit is reasonably straightforward to assemble, it is manufactured in pre-painted high-quality EPP foam sheet for the majority of the construction, tough plastic for the open framework rear fuselage, and lightweight balsa for the internal structure. Carbon strips are also included to reinforce and improve the stiffness of the structure. The model builds up quickly into a good-looking, fun-to-fly lightweight (only 98g) sports plane that is perfect for indoor or park flying. The kit is supplied with a powerful 1108-4000KV brushless motor, 5A brushless ESC, 5" propeller, and 4 x 2g servos.
