not simple to build. wish the frame and pieces were made of laser cut plywood. somehow this frame is brittle in some places. looking at it though shows it is still fun build. i finally completed this frame. i painted it and glued parts of the pieces together. the only week link is the landing gear. i'm sure there is a way to make a stronger landing gear. awesome project.

Not real easy to put this frame together. Be careful as some parts can chips. Landing gear is weak. Need to strengthen it and some parts. I had to modify certain parts to fit. Some parts seemed brittle. But I liked this build still. Since wood insulates vibration, I wondered if this frame would be good for video.

Here some information: My version KK2 updated with 1.6v the one it works in stabilization flight. Motor Turnigy D2822/14 1450kv with 3*7035 and 3S 3000mAh 20C, 878gram full equipment with lights. Output 233W, 23.77A, 0.160Ah.
Flight not bad, flight time short.

montage parece, pero no es tan sencillo sin fotos, sin manual. El pintado malo, pero no importa porque enseguida lo tienes en tus colores. tren aterizaje: muy blando. los tornillos malos, menos mal que me compre aqui otros muy Buenos. Equipe con motores turnigy D2822/14 1450kv con heli 7*3.5 x3, los ESC de hobbyking SS 25, y una batteria 3S2200mAh y de 3000mAh. Con el KK2 V1.2 control board queda bien pero el autostabilisation muy malo en esta version.

Very neat,I found it reminded me of linkin logs as a child, it comes with no instructions, don't let that put you off. It took about 5 mins to throw together. I don't know it is something I would fly however,it's light weight and if you set it down hard,it would probably turn into a nice pile of splinters:)

Einige Holzteile waren von Anfang an leider krumm und wenig passgenau. Zusammengebaut macht der Rahmen einen stabilen Eindruck und ist auch sehr leicht. Allerdings bricht das Holz wirklich leicht, so dass der Rahmen leider nicht lange gehalten hat. Dafr kostet er wirklich nicht viel. 3 Sterne von mir.

Nothing like good old wood. Easy build with glue instead of plastic screws. Will buy another frame as back up. Wood absorbs vibrations well for cameras. Easy to modify.

il laminato da 3 mm usato risulta robusto e perfettamente tagliato al laser. ovviamente non pu reggere se battuto con forza! esteticamente fa la sua figura una volta montato e dotato di led. prezzo ottimo considerato che dotato della montatura per la videocamera. la batteria pu essere collocata sopra oppure sotto tra il quad e la montatura per la camera, basta utilizzare dei distanziali tra la base del quad e la montatura. il carrello risulta un po' leggerino ma con un po' di inventiva possibile irrobustirlo.

This is a nice, light quad frame. I flew it using four SK3-2826-1240 motors with four Hobbyking F-30A ESCs flashed with SimonK formware. Props used were 8x4.5 carbon reinforced. Flight controller was the MultiWii DSM2 from Hobbyking. Works well with 3S 2200mAh battery. Very easy and quick to assemble and flies very well, with plenty of spare power available. The flight time with this battery is around 11 minutes before the voltage drops to 10.6V (when my battery alarm goes off).

You do need to be fairly gentle on landing as the landing gear is a little on the flimsy side but good enough if treated with care.
