I used this ESC in my Supra Electric 3.4 meter sailplane driving a 5:1 gear box motor and a 18x10 Graupner folding prop at a static load of 52 Amps. By some reason 3 of totally 30 Surface mounted Power transistors burned yesterday so Im a bit dissapointed. Reinstalled my old TGY Plush 60A and everything works perfect.
By the way, I had suffered som problems with motor running slow even after landing despite of turned off from the transmitter.
The Super Brain 80A in my F3A trainer works OK so far.

Der erste Turnigy Super Brain 60A Brushless ESC ist schon beim Test am Boden gestorben. Er reagiert auch nicht mehr auf die Programmierkarte. Hab nochmal den gleiche und werde den jetzt mal testen. Ich hoffe das war ein Einzelfall.

Hello all,

i bought last week this ESC made from Hifei... FIRMWARE installed was 6004 (last-one at this date source from hifei). When i connected ESC, only BEC ok, ESC dont start (no bip), so i upgrade with usb with origine firmware in HK files tabs, and after it's ok ESC start... I tune with reversed data stocking option, and so... ESC doesn't start ! (a little bug huh ?) so i reload origine TSB60A firmware made from hk files (6000) and the ESC good start... SO NOW, i have WRITE 6 mails to hifei company to get lastest firmware version for TSB60A (the 6004 so), and no response with de .DLC file :(((( so no lucky i must fly with an old firmware version. Any personne have receive the new 6004 firmware ? HK could you get with HIFEI for your customers this new file ?

Esc parfait,mont sur un extra 330 avec moteur OS 1200,en 3S 2200,35C...rien a redire,parfait,j'en ai recommend un aujourd'huit...trs bon produit

Leggero e facilmente programmabile con l'adattatore usb. Pronto per l'uso con le condizioni basiche. Lo uso su un pylon con ottimi risultati. Grazie hobbyking.

works great in my gas powered trainer i converted to electric with the g46 670kv motor, with a 4cell 2300mah battery i get about a 9 min flight time, gets slightly warm.

Ottimo prodotto, (come gli altri della famiglia). Programmabile da pc o da program box, con data logger incorporato. Utile per controllare i dati di volo (assorbimenti, voltaggio, temperature..). Firmware aggiornabile. Unica pecca il software turnigy, non troppo stabile, ma facilmente sostituibile con software dell' Hifei (la produttrice degli esc)

had one of these unused in the box and just set up a motor/prop test rig with it. these are great for these kind of things because of their logger function. you run a motor prop combo and read the values out on your PC, no need for any external instruments, simple and great. the values are: throttle pcnt, amp draw, motor RPM, battery voltage, power in watts, and temperature. it also shows you the max values during one session. all values nicely presented in a graph. great product. it aslo lets you specify a gear ratio and would then calculate your geared RPM, e.g. head speed on a heli. you need the USB linker to be able to download the log files from the ESC to your PC.

if you only want a 60A ESC and are OK with <6s lipo support, this might be a bit on the heavy side though.
