Sweet product! Used it on my Tamiya Mini Cooper Monte Carlo Rally edition with very little modification. So if you're looking for a replacement shock for your Tamiya M-05 Frame this is it!

These are actually great shocks for on-road use. I do have a few complaints, but they don't leak and are very smooth. I will definitely be buying more of these in the near future.

Here are a few things to consider:
Mine came with something other then shock oil in them; it looked and smelled like mineral spirits or some similar petroleum product. Read on for my thoughts on the pistons that come in the shocks, but this oil was way too thin for any shock piston I have ever seen. Be prepared to refill these shocks if you care how your car handles.

The pistons inside the shocks have very large slots instead of holes to allow the flow of oil through them. At my local track we typically always use between 40wt and 70wt shock oil depending on the car and shock piston type. For these shocks I had to use the heaviest differential oil I had(7000cst) and I still do not have enough dampening for optimal control on my touring car. Replacing the pistons so that you can use normal shock oil is simple, but normal 1/10 touring pistons do not fit. These are a thin piston type; the only other shock I know of with this type is the 3racing shocks for touring cars. There may well be several other that fit but this is all I know.

My final complaint is for the threaded shock bodies. It is a luxury to not have to carry around preload clips and fumble with putting them on or off. But the range of adju
