Replaced the stock motor on a HK mini swift. Had to work hard to make it fit. Make sure you don't use the stock ESC(6amp) Will fry pretty quick. Go for a 15-20 at least. Powerful little motor. Motor mounts on the flat motor mount provided. Not really easy to use in most applications. Had to improvise with balsa wood and a bottle cap.. Impressive result though.

I have found with all motors from H.K. that a quick dis-assembly, an inspection of all the components such as windings, magnets, bearings and a general look over to make sure everything is right. When you find everything OK then take a little time to oil the bearings. Just a few drops makes a big difference in the bearing tube.. I use the oil you can get from a Hobby supply or even Radio Shack ! Its about a 30 weight non detergent with a pin applicator... Smooths the bearings and they will last A LOT longer ! Works great for me every time..

Great little motor but take care as always with the mounting screws. I bought two of these motors and the screws supplied were varying lengths. Some 4mm some 6mm. If you screw the 6mm screws in with the thin fiberglass mount you will destroy the windings. Bit of a waste for the sake of a correct length screw. Hobbyking need to take note also. You probably want to try a bit smaller prop too, I ran a 6 x 3 prop on a 3 cell and it pulled a full 20 amps. Cut it down to to around 5 1/4 x 3 and it was down to 14 amps. It was a quite chunky master airscrew prop so i have ordered some finer GWS 5 x 3 and 6 x3 props to try
