I have purchased 4 of these EDFs, 2 std rotation and 2 counter rotating. On two of the EDFs the fans were so out of balance that they bent their motor shaft on the first attempt at full RPM. I had waited past the warranty period to give them their first test. Bad judgment on my part. I have purchased 2 replacements. I'll be testing them soon.

Hi
This is such an awsemo unit! On 4s the thrust is ok BUT: Ive tried it on 5s and 6s.

Here are some numbers:
On 4s 2200 45-90c nano it pulled 54 amps Temp: cool after wot flying
On 5s 2200 30c turnigy (beaten up) it pulled 65 amps Temp: handwarm after a little throttle management but mostly wot
On 6s 2200 30c turnigy (beaten up) it pulled 74 amps Temp: warmer after throttlemanagement
On 6s 2650 35-70c nano it pulled 99 amps (2000 watts) Temp: Hot after throttlemanagement 5 sek wot

BEFORE you put it in an airframe and burn it up please measure the amps and temps.
I fly this piece of art mounted on an skyfun so there is the inletring but there is no thrusttube like in an airframe!
A thrust tube would mess my numbers up and you will have different ampdraws with the thrusttube.
Feel free to run 5s or 6s through it BUT check amps and temps and don't blame me if you burn it. mine works fine with this setup and mounting.
Have fun flying

I ordered this fan to install it on my freewing f-16 70mm edf. I tested this fan with all my new 4s zippy 3300mAh 30c and all kind of different settings on my Turnigy 100 k-force esc and I never saw more than 800watt. Now either the batteries or the fan are not delivering what they are advertising. Not even close to the 900Watts current advertised. my peak was 840watt and after 3 seconds it was settled back at 750 ... Plane will do ok I guess but I could get this performance with half money than this fan costs.

i used this on RC-Lander F-16 and wow its great EDF with great jet sound, to imagine how good this EDF unite is, RC-Lander F-16 quite scale and little heavy i put 2x 2200 4s 40c battery in the front and hand launched the jet, it took off to the sky easily the the plane were heavy nosed, great product, though expensive.

Now this fans i used for in the SR-71 and you would need to move the edf unit slightly to the front of the intake tube, i had them cut out the whole top cover and it fits perfectly! The sound is just sooooo amazing! and the thrust, my god its perfect! However its slightly heavy, but there is no vibration at all, perfect balance, and the blades and edf gap is soo minimal which is perfect! I paired this with the Reverse rotation setup.
