The B-17 Flying Fortress was one of the most famous bombers of WW2, although it served in every theatre, it was the ETO in particular that this sturdy and well armed heavy bomber made it's name, operating with the USAF 8th Bomber Group from UK airfields.
The Flying Fortress name came from it's heavy defensive capability, the B-17 was bristling with defensive 0.50 caliber machine guns, and it won much affection from it's crews due to it's ability to soak up heavy battle damage and still get crews home.
Despite it's size, this is a practical scale model, construction is from tough EPO, the included retracts are electric and feature wide, chunky wheels that can handle any surface, flaps can be connected for ultra slow landings and the one piece wing makes transportation really easy. There is plenty of power from the supplied brushless motors to help you get airborne from almost any airstrip.
There are really cool features like the included scale props & spinners and the replica guns but top of the list is the operating bomb bay door, complete with a set of bombs, which requires 1 x 9g servo for operation. Easy to fly, packed with features and practical, the only way you could improve a day cruising around the sky with this model is to have one of your flying buddies provide escort with a Hobbyking Mini P-51!

The kit was very good only a few negative points.
First the screw used as axle for the rudder isn't really working properly the rudder doesn't return to his mid. point it jams halfway.
second is the way the wheels are holded in place with 2 wooden frames glued to the paint,so first flight the wheels broke off.
but overall this is good value very easy to fly and the appearance is just wow,so HK keep up the good work just fix the glitchesVery very very beautiful Boeing B17.
Very easy to fly and i flew 8 minutes with 3cell 2200.
Normal flight with a quarter of throttle.
The landing gear is very good and real!only 4-stars there is no manual include and notho=ing to find on the internetThe Memphis Bell is amazing. Lites, retracts, flaps and it flies too. The first flight was remarkable. Took off in 30'. Easily flew around at full throttle, and landed some throttle and a bounce. This is my 3rd attempt at a B17 and credit the counter rotating props for the success. The props will be upgrade, the included props are more scale then airworthy.
One more note, it fits in the back of my Mazda(aka ford ranger) pickup in one piece!
This plane has a high WOW factor at the club.Voa maravilhosamente bem.gostei.
