DJI, which is a market leader in the drone and aerial photography industry, has today released a cryptic video message teasing a big announcement.
This comes a week after CES, where many were surprised when DJI didn’t take the opportunity to showcase a new flight product. The video which poses the question “are we ready for what’s to come?” has many drone fans guessing that the announcement may be a release of a new drone. The possibility of a new drone from the drone giant has keen tech enthusiasts eager to find out more, so here is all we know so far about this announcement. The location of the announcement, as many reports have noted, is said to be a telltale sign of what’s to come. Historically, the company preferred Los Angeles to share announcements regarding film-related technology. Whereas, New York has been used for the announcements of both the Mavic Pro and Spark releases, which has some suggesting that it will likely be the release of a new drone. The invitation, which tagline’s reads “Adventure Unfolds”, implies that perhaps the product will be backpack-friendly, as have their past two big announcements. Interpreting the tagline at a literal level, it seems that DJI is alluding to their Mavic Pro, which is a model their folding model.
