The FG-1 Corsair "Lucky Gallon": Dressed to Impress at the Air Races!

The H-King FG-1 Corsair "Lucky Gallon" is the third in the mini-series from H-King, the "Reno Aces", WW2 fighters dressed to impress at the air races. The FG-1 Corsair "Lucky Gallon" offers a really quick model straight out of the box. If you are experienced and want speeds up to 100mph, there is an optional drop-in fit 3108-1170KV 'Pro' brushless motor. For those who can handle the extra rotational torque on launch, this will give your beautiful Reno Ace a ballistic performance on the same prop, ESC, and 4S battery.

Reno Aces FG-1 Corsair "Lucky Gallon" is a bent wing hot rod that is fast, aerobatic, and extremely stable. Like the other models in this line, it really grooves at full power and feels locked in, but when you slow it down, it's a real pussycat as well, and just as much fun. During the full range of speeds, there are virtually no stalls, and the controls remain effective throughout. After you've completed your 6-minute flight, fully flared landings are very easy to achieve and make belly landing the FG-1 Corsair a delight.

At the 1946 Cleveland Air Races, the full-size "Lucky Gallon" was the first Corsair to compete. Cook Cleland finished 6th in the Championship Race, with an average speed of 357.5mph.

The H-King version of this classic racing FG-1 Corsair comes "Plug N Fly", which means it comes with the motor, ESC, and servos already attached. This tough EPO foam is finished in the authentic color scheme of Number 92 "Lucky Gallon". It comes with a simple slotted horizontal stabilizer that requires no glue (easy and straightforward assembly). Other features include a stiffened and strengthened fuselage created from plywood and carbon fiber, and a motor box. All underside contact areas are fitted with plastic skid plates for landing protection, and you have the choice of a clear or a silver canopy to finish off your Corsair.

Hence, the H-King FG-1 Corsair "Lucky Gallon" is fast right out of the box with its pre-installed motor (a 'Pro' motor is also available for additional performance), it has superb flying qualities with good quick and slow speed handling, is strong, and is quick to assemble. In addition to its strength and maneuverability, it is also a great contender for club pylon racing events. A great, fun airplane that is brilliant to fly, looks fantastic in the air, and will have you smiling from ear to ear the whole time you are flying it.
