Orx T6 vs. Orx Tx6i: All New Features

HobbyKing has just released the Orx Tx6i which they claim “has taken over from where the original OrangeRx T6 left off”.

So in this article, I will explore the differences, or rather the improvements made to this Orx Tx6i compared to its predecessor. So the most obvious of upgrades is the new ergonomic design, which was clearly designed with the needs of the user in mind. Unlike other transmitters, this newer model includes handgrips on either side. This, teamed with the changes to the overall shape, enables greater control, and is also useful in terms of making it easier to hold. Another useful update made to help ease the overall control of the model is the decision to reduce the number of programming buttons from 4 to 2. hobbykingorxtx6iDespite all these exceptional upgrades, my personal favorite feature of the Orx Tx6i, compared to the previous model, is that the backlit LCD screen is much larger. The larger screen is particularly useful as the display became more visible to read. Another thoughtful addition to this model is the internal protected antenna. I know that this will save me, in years to come, from having to purchase new antennas due to damage. The way that this is designed prevents it from the sort of damage my previous model was prone to. One of the great things about purchasing an Orx model is that there is a range of accessories that are available to purchase that compliment the Orx. Some of these accessories have the ability to enhance your overall experience when using it. For example, you can buy an OrangeRx DSMX/DSM2 Compatible USB Dongle for Flight Simulator, which helps connect your transmitter to your computer for flight simulation. Overall, a new ergonomic design, telemetry, an internal protected antenna, hand grips, updated programming buttons... the list of all the juicy new features goes on and on, making the new Orx Tx6i a great model.
