Nice little motor

Nov 16, 2016

I am running a couple of these on 3S setups and 5x5 props on a flying wing. I checked today and it is peaking at 20A so obviously too much prop. It is getting too warm also. So far, a dozen flights and it is still running. I will drop the prop down to around 4x4 and hopefully get the power in a better range for this little motor. I like it.

It overheads with 3 cell. Also hard to keep prop on. 4.75 x 4.75 prop is a bit much pushing wing wing. Wish this set up a #41 o ring works.

Propeller used disintegrates easily with the o-ring used. Risky during testing, I wish there is better shaft design to install the props.

If you have holes bottom and front to cool it, no problem keeps fresh at 8,5 amps
with a stock of mine prop 5X3.5 : 200g pull and 8.5 AMps with 2 cells.
Prop saver is inadequate (for my stock props only) and CANT BE REMOVED : its part of the rotor.
You can use the back side because it has a 2 mm diameter by 5mm length at the stator.

Hello,I replaced the stock motor on my mini swift with this one after I rebuilt the motor mount with a birch ply mount.Today I corrected the center of gravity by moving the battery back into the fuselage after removing the hump on the bottom of the fuselage.Maiden flight was successful and plane is fast even at half throttle.C2222 isa great little motor so far.Mike

The bearings in this grind. I doubt that it's my fault. Not happy with it - and it isn't really powerful enough for the bonsai for my tastes. It won't go vertical. It gets hot on 2s with a 5030, but that's probably because of the bearings.
