Dress up your next racing boat project with our CNC aluminum outboard style outdrive for your 500~700mm long boat project. This faux Mercury outboard motor features a CNC aluminum lower unit, mounting system, and a fiberglass engine enclosure. A flex shaft cable runs through the lower unit to the provided 30mm 3-blade propeller. This unit includes a 2842 2630kv watercooled inrunner motor pre-mounted. Extended motor wires with 4mm bullet plugs, and a pre-installed water pick up line with a water exit complete the unit.

A full set of installation and maintenance instructions are included. One cool feature is that the flex shaft assembly has a pre-installed grease tube. This means you can simply use a syringe of marine grease and inject it straight into the flex shaft without the need to dis-assemble anything. Mounting to your hull is easy, just need four bolts. The whole unit can be adjusted to fine tune the prop drive angle for optimal performance. As the whole unit, motor and all pivot on the mount, heavy duty teflon bushings reduce friction, yet are maintenance free. Pull-pull style arms reduces servo load for the utmost of precision.

Add good looks and performance to your next boat project with our CNC Aluminum Outboard Motor!

*Note: This unit is also sold without motor and can be found here

Broken In 3 Minutes

Sep 15, 2019

I built a boat around this motor and managed to break the shaft within 3 minutes of running. I talked to Tech before using this item because I had read that this was a problem. I was told to be sure to grease everything properly which means to ignore the grease tube under the motor and pull the shaft first and grease it like a typical flex shaft but that didn’t help. What makes things worse is the lack of parts or replacements.

Very realistic

Love the scale as I use them on tunnel hulls I build. Parts need to be made available in the US store as do these motors. Flex shaft broke 10 minutes into 1st run. Thankfully I bought several spares 2 years ago when I bought the Exceed hull.

Good overall quality & price.the only problem i had was the depth of motor in the water.I fabracited a simple jack plate, modified mounting bracket and now works great.some mods may be necessary depend on style of boat.

That is rubbish, the grease tube only puts grease on the outside of the shaft liner and some might reach the lower bearing but there is no way to grease the flex shaft so it will fail very quickly

This scale outboard looks really nice in the listing photos, but when received it has a lot of tooling marks on it. For that I give 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise it is pretty decent for the money, and looks very scale. The prop is very thin plastic, and will most likely break easily. A metal prop will be an essential upgrade.
