Great power. Starts good and reliable. VERY good price considering a DLE is at least $125 more.
I have purchased 2 of these engines. On one, the stand-offs were poor. the threads were very poor. However i bought a tap and cut the threads deeper and with a longer screw the problem was resolved. Also the machine screws provided are of cheap quality. Replaced with good quality hardware supplied screws.
On the other, the Choke disk came loose and rotated, not allowing the choke to close all the way. Took the screw completly off, blue locktighted the screw and the problem solved.
Same as a DLE. Other than a few quality issues, for the money you can't go wrong. Did I say LOTS of power? Oh Yeah!

Clone quasi identique du DLE 55.

Livre sans bougie ninotice mais cela n'est pas un souci au vu du prix.

Sure it is a good engine. It can produce as much as 12kg thrust with 22x10 prop. It is perfect using with "Mini Tachometer for Ignition Use" (PRODUCT ID: 9070000008 ). Thanks for "techometer - rpm output" from CDI.

Excellent Engine

After third flight I'm getting 7600-7800 RPM static, swinging a 22x8 wood prop.

I'm going to take the prop up to 23x8 for more thrust.

3-6 flips with choke & 1-2 w/o choke & ignition on to start EVERY TIME.

Excellent motor, good build quality, genuine carb, etc., etc. etc.

I replaced the knock off spark plug with a CM6 and went to work starting it up.

Note it may seem like it takes forever to draw fuel in the first time. Just keep flipping it with the ignition OFF and the throttle all the way up, NO choke.

Once fuel looks like it's hit the carb, my engine will act like it is ready to start ( it turns over a few times ) after 3-4 flips and usually starts on the 5-6 flip... this with an inverted engine mount.

I have throttle set to just under half way when I do so.

Tuning:

The RCExl tach works perfectly with this engine and is VERY helpful with tuning.

Get the engine running @ about 3 turns out for low and high.

Then increase the throttle and start leaning the HS needle until you hit maximum RPM's. Back off about 400 RPM or more for a new engine.

Then slowly bring the throttle down and start leaning the LS needle until you get around a 2000-2200 RPM idle.

Once there run the engine back up and down quickly and observe the RPM's. If the engine sages below 2K as it comes off of full throttle for a few seconds, adjust the LS needle until this does not happen or there is very little change... Once done, increase the throttle lever throw to obtain a lower speed idle.

Double check run-up, run-down and go fly. After a gallon of fuel has been run through, re-visi

The only problem I found with the engine was the engine timing was 14 degrees off. Holes drilled to hold the sensor were in wrong place. The proper timing placed the sensor directly over one of the holes. The proper timing is 44 degrees BTDC. I drilled new hole and engine is running great now.

The motor arrived well packed and i prepared it for the test stand in 5 minutes.I choked it and flipped the 22x8 prop on it 4 times before it popped.Turned the choke off and it started on the first flip. The high end was just a touch rich so it was stuttering a little on the top end at full throttle.I leaned it while it was at full throttle and the high end cleaned rite up with a 1/8 of a turn leaner.I ran three tanks thru it and the idle came down each tank as it broke in.It is now in my aeroworks 260 and has performed perfectly. This is the best 55cc bang for the buck.buy with confidence.

What I Want To Know Is When Are They Going To List The Real Weight And Stop Ripping People Off On Shipping. This Motor Is No Where Close To 3300g. The 3300g Is The Weight Of A 111cc or 112cc. LOOK AT THE WEIGHT BETWEEN RCG50, DLE55, And DLA55 THEN LOOK AT THIS ONE. AS SOON AS HOBBYKING FIXES I WILL BE HAPPY TO ORDER A BUNCH OF THESE AS WELL AS DM33's

Great engine, just wish they would remedy the weight differential they are charging for shipping. My engine with all the parts weighs 1.75 kilos. They are charging a shipping weight of about 3.2 kilos a difference of 1.45 kilos for packaging. My express shipping was $65 so total cost of this engine was $279 to my door. So shipping was over 30pcnt of the cost of the engine. Express shipping on the DLA-55 is $45. They should be nearly the same, not $20 more. HK, you need to fix this, this borders on mail fraud!! I love the engine and had to pay a premium to get it delivered. I would buy another, but not at this shpping premium extra!
