someone has tried to 6s?
I inadvertently put 6s for a while.
He drove very well.
Then I saw it was 4s.
I do not dare to test consumer and such.

I purchased 4 of these motors to power my scale Avro Vulcan, everything worked fine on the ground, did several run ups etc. On takeoff for the first flight the main shaft together with the impeller came straight out the front of the motor, the resulting carnage destroyed the model.I complained to HobbyKing but the reply to me was "we don't cover accident damage" .The faulty motor caused the accident!!!! all I wanted was my money back on the bad motor !!! come on guys, do we have a warranty or don't we

I've retro-fitted this unit to my (now 3 year old) Durafly Sea-Vixen. Awesome performance & more of a whoosh (although you can still hear the classic EDF whine). Fortunately I'd previously upgraded the ESC after burning out the original by inadvertently reversing the battery polarity. I was concerned that the higher current draw might puff the LiPo packs, but in reality full power is used sparingly for take-off & vertical manoeuvres only and half throttle still produces ample thrust. I bought the now discontinued 5 blade version 2 years ago for my Dynam Meteor (similar to a Habu). Its still going after over 150 flights although the bearings are rattling a little. Great value!

Having just read the first review I'd like to throw my opinion into the mix. 5 stars all around. This motor and fan combo is great quality and has some serious grunt. Pack puffer? Sure is, if you have a low C pack. But why would you ever run a low C with this combo? I'm installing it into my 70mm T-45 Goshawk kit and I'm feeling pretty happy after having tested the motor last night. I intend to run a 4000mAh 35C (min) battery with it, cos I predict pretty short flight times on 2200mAh.

Dr. Mad thrust must have been sniffing the ole Either when he came up with this motor, cause it blows!! It's hot , slow, and puffs your packs. They should call this thing the "Pack Puffer". Why 11 blades?!?! 10 are too many for this motor it needs more like 5 blades. Don't waste your money or time with this one, unless you plan on wasting your money on buying a motor that can turn a 11 blade fan, or want to buy a new fan with it. I tried 2 different ESC and different timing configurations all with no luck. I've come to the conclusion this is just a bad rushed design. I would give it 0 crowns if it would let me. I should have trusted the other comments first. I've looked up the motor they used for this design, and everyone that is using it has a 5 blade fan with it!!!! Why they would use a 11 blade one is beyond me. Max RPM 62,000, yeah right! Fix this Hobby King!!
