This superb looking T-28 from our top quality Durafly® ™ range and has enough scale detail and features to keep any warbird enthusiast happy. The 1100mm range offers the RC pilot a practical size model that can be easily transported and uses the ever popular 2200mAh 3s Lipoly pack, yet at the same time, the model is large enough to have presence and is able to tackle most airfields, not to mention a little wind, making it very practical.

As well as looking fantastic, this Trojan is plug and fly, meaning very little assembly work is needed. The powerful outrunner motor, 40A ESC, navigation lights, servoless electric retracts, gear doors & servos are all pre-installed leaving you to glue on the tailfeathers and some scale detailing, bolt on the plug in wings and go flying!

We have flown this superb T-28 Trojan extensively during testing and it will not disappoint, there is plenty of power for those really scale warbird aerobatics and the airframe is viceless with no hint of a tip stall. The pre-installed flap servos have a nice, slow operation to help prevent ballooning and the flaps themselves allow the approach speed to get down to a crawl without a hint of wingrock. There is no doubt, this is one fantastic looking warbird and it flies as easily as a low wing trainer!

For those looking for a bit more power and the ability to run on 4S battery the ESC has been upgraded to a 40A ESC in this model. You may need to cut a bit of foam and recheck your CofG to install this larger battery.

One of the best planes in my hangar.
Looks great, flies great - only the propeller is a bit brittle, replaced it by a Master Airsrew.

This is my 1st Low winged plane and I was admittedly nervous about flying it. I took it to a large sports field near by and took to doing a quick take off and landings to get a feel for it. I found the sink rate to be a lot slower than I expected and I had was forced to put it down too quick before the runway ran out. This resulted in cosmetic damage to the undercarriage and a broken prop. The undercarriage was cheaply and easily replaced from the spares section, but the prop has been on back order ever since. In an effort to not miss the best part of the summer, I managed to fit a thin 10X8 thin APC style prop which works beautifully for my steady flying and makes the 2200 3s last for ages using about 1/3 less of the power (according to my meter). Now I have had a proper chance to fly it, I have to say I love it. Stable, manoeuvrable and as fast as you want it to be. For landings I tend to only use 1/2 flaps bring it down on low power and then drop the power completely just before it touches down. On full flaps it seems to sit back a bit and it feels tail heavy so I avoid. I would 100pcnt recommend but HobbyKing really need to sort out their availability of common spares.

Very happy with this one ! Assembles easily and looks great. Flys well with Hobby King Turnigy 2200 mah 30-40 c lipo battery and stock motor. Retracable landing gear look scale and work reliably. Flaps are a real plus making the plane much easier and stable to land and take off. Aerobatics are scale due to proper wing loading and is a docile flyer and can handle some breezy conditions. Others at my field have commented about how fast it is compared to their 'other brand' T-28 which cost more. good job Hobby King !
