1. One wing hold-down nut was not threaded correctly. It is a PITA to replace!
2. The paint chips easily.
3. Down elevator throw is limited by the tailwheel.
4. I doubt the main gear attachment will survive a hard landing. We'll see...
Otherwise, good, especially for the price.

ottimo modello rc per allenamento; il bilanciamento con lipo 3s 2200mAh -3300mAh è perfetto. L'elica di seri in legno è purtroppo fragile, in atterraggio su erba si è rotta. In complesso però il modello vola benissimo ed è molto divertente, lo consiglio.

The overall quality is good, but there are a couple of things that lower the rating. First, the 2 pushrods for the wing that arrived to me are of different lenght, one of them being too short to be used, so i had to use different pushrods without ball bearing joints. Second, the wooden internal reinforcement in the zone of the landing gear, that i suppose is meant also to fit the battery is glued with a riduculous amount of hot glue, so it detached just touching it: i have now glued with a much stronger bond.

The model is having a very good design and it is very difficult to stall it. I loved the plane and it is slowly becoming my favorite model for the field. Please restock in the International warehouse soon. Would love to buy another.

The Ugly Stick is one of the old and docile design. Can be even flown by beginners and loved by experienced fliers too. The build quality could have been shade better but for this price it is amazing. Flies very well.

I was wrong on an earlier review that the ESC was dead on arrival. Never had to program an ESC before to get it to work? All my other planes have been plug and play from the manufacturer so I was just aware of this and no where did I see this step in any instructions? Plane is what you expect for the low price with chipping decals putting it together, soft foam that dings easily. I plan to fly the crud out of it and paint it along the way. For the money it’s worth it for sure as long as you can set it up to fly, which I will do tomorrow! Thanks HobbyKing!

Wanna go really fast for under $200?

I added a cheap 3536 10kv motor, 50 amp ESC, 2300 MAH 4s battery and a 9x6 prop. An F405 flight controller and RID both log it cruising level at over 110 MPH with peaks during stunts at around 130. It does 3D tricks with ease and powers out vertically with no problem.
Like everyone else who reviewed it, you will need to make a mounting plate for the landing gear or be better at landing than me. The stock gear ripped out of the fuselage after a couple of landings on both my planes.
