This ARF version of the amazing Zephyr V-70 has the powerful 70mm EDF unit pre-installed, leaving you to choose your own servo's & ESC.

The Zephyr is packed with truly innovative features, the first being the highly compressed EPO foam, as well as being tough, the foam has a super smooth texture, adding to it's aerodynamic performance. The wings are carbon reinforced with pre-tensioned glassfiber strips on both sides of the wing to prevent twisting during high-G maneuvers, likewise the fuselage uses a square CF rod down it's length, plus external glassfiber rods. The V-Tail is also CF reinforced and for extra stiffness is secured to the molded rear skid assembly. The large bi-lateral air intakes have been designed to maximise fan performance while minimising drag, which combined with the ultra-thin airfoil and clean, low drag airframe offer jaw dropping performance both on and off the throttle!

The quality of the V-70 is second to none and assembly is fast, the Zephyr also features a 2pc removable wing for practicality. Durafly® ™ engineers have overcome the theoretical drawbacks of an EDF glider by combining the efficiency of the V-70 airframe & power train with the ability to carry a large lipoly to offer you great flight times on top of amazing performance!

One of the first things to strike you when flying the V-70 is how beautifully balanced it is, the pilot feels immediately at home and locked in, even at high speed. The aerobatic ability of the Zephyr is mind warping, combine this with the impressive off throttle glide and you have an amazingly wide flight envelope but open that throttle and you are greeted with a turbine like sound like no other EDF Jet, it's so addictive! Jaw dropping Looks, high speed performance, amazing aerobatic ability, quality, durability, practicality and innovation.....the Durafly® ™ Zephyr V-70.....the ultimate foamy!

Seen some good reviews so I guess I must have been unlucky. Using a Zippy Flightmax 2650 battery the plane can barely take off it's so woefully underpowered. It's been sitting in the workshop for months and I took it out again today with the same battery and it literally couldn't get enough speed up to stay aloft even after a really hard throw. It's now got a broken wing fastener!
Really horrible plane based on my experiences.

I cut the bottom of the fuse out and made it huge. Holds a 4s 3000mah pack easy. Tons of room. I used 3K carbon fiber to rebuild the nose. I don't have to add any nose weight, it flys over 120mph. Buy one and do the mod. Also. The mod didn't effect the speed or attitude of the plane. And this edf lands like a sailplane too.

woah....steady as she goes......compared to the mellowness of a bixler flight this is heart pownding!!!

get the balence just right.....squeeze a 3300 in just....(ive had to mount the esc on the outside of the canopy!!!)...and prepare for fast furious fun.

although even with a 3300 you get less than 10 mins

landings fun....i mean fast....ive modified the wing attachment with cf rods and elastic bands for longevity....its easy to hit a tip at speed and rip out the stock fitting

overall a fantastic fun freekin rocket of a beast....sounds like a jet!

Did the maiden today - 3600 3S pack, 50g in to nose to give it a 75mm CG.
Expected it to tear out of my hand on launch under full throttle.
Just the opposite - slight drop then powered away gently and level, didn't even have to play with trims!
It is actually quite a docile machine and will semi-glide without power but forget about doing a turn without power as it will drop very quickly.
The same applies when rolling, it will drop like a stone.
It appears to need around 1/2 throttle to keep it at a reasonable speed.
Landing skids are rubbish on a grass strip as it has already got LE damage after two controlled and gentle landings.
I will make up a set of skids and glue them under the wing to protect the under belly.
Overall - not a bad model, it's a EDF glider/hotliner - not a jet!

Last review I wrote got deleted after just 2 days, must be bad for business. Don't buy this plane, it's heavy, under powered and uses heaps of battery power.

This plane flies like a brick! It's heavy, lacks power and uses a **** load of battery to get it into the air. I've only flown my once and wasn't inspired to fly it again, anyone want to buy it?

Hey guys, i am will like to say that i am real positive surprised about that modell. The aircraft is more than fast, i am fly with 3000 mAh lipo. If i am fly full trottle the battery is finish in 2,5 min but normal use, normal flying is about 5 minutes. If i am go up in higher altitude and keep it flying with low trottle just cruising i will get up to 15 minutes in the sky.
The EDF sound is cool, just like a real jet. Now i am just finished my 30 th flight, and still in one piece. Top Hobbyking Produkt!!

This is a lot of fun but is not for beginners You can get the cg right without adding weight but it is a tight fit I the battery compartment. Use a 4000 mah 3 cell and keep it all the way to the front. Most people have problems launching and crash soon after. Give it about 6 clicks up elevator and let it run wide open for a few seconds then throw it hard and level just slightly up Then once airborne trim the elevator back down. Once it is up keep the speed up or it will stall it sounds and looks cool
