HobbyKing is excited to be carrying the full range of the ESUN brand of 3D printing filament. ESUN is recognised as one of the world's leading and most innovative manufacturers for 3D additive printing.
The PLA, ABS, Flexible, Luminous and many other types of materials are perfect for whatever application you have in mind. ESUN has established their brand recognition through their quality products and consistency, the filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.05mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.
PLA has a lower melting point and prints easier than other materials. One of the most important features is that PLA is non-toxic, and even has a sweet smell when printing. PLA has a low shrinkage rate and it is very rigid with minimal flex. This material can print extremely high resolution models and is perfect for a wide range of uses. PLA is considered stronger than ABS but is more susceptible to cracking when flexing, impact or torsional loads so the mechanical needs of the print project has to be evaluated.
PLA has a huge range of vibrant colors and opacity for that perfect look whether it is artistic or utilitarian, in short a great material for 3D printing. PLA can be printed without the use of a heat bead, and can stick to glass or a PCB plate with a binder such as hairspray or white glue for a curl free print.
3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important. Please visit the ESUN web site for more information as well as the recommended settings for your printer.

Filament Material: PLA
Filament Diameter: 1.75mm
Filament is cheap compared to many other brands. Comes in a nice box and is vacuum sealed with desiccant inside. Nice to print with and sticks well. Would definitely buy again. The prints looks fantastic!
Unfortunately, and I used several spools myself and talked to several friends using this esun filament as well: It just breaks in between the spool and the extruder when you just leave it at room temperature for a day or two! More days and it breaks at multiple locations! This is unacceptable since I have to throw away about 40cm every single time I want to print and I have the work of putting it into the extruder every day! esun doesn't really comment on this problem! They suggest a usable temperature range of 25 degrees -5 degrees! Who has that in their room? Below 20 degrees and it breaks for sure! NOT RECOMMENDED!this is the most rage inducing filament on the planet. it is very brittle and breaks as soon as you touch itWorks great with my Mini Fabrikator! printing at 190 degC.These values were looking for a cheap and good quality filament. After almost 3 1kg rolls of ABS without success i tried the PLA. and i cant believe it, it works! Thanks HK!
