The Focke-Wulf FW190 was a German Second World War single-seat, single-engine fighter aircraft designed in the late 1930s. Powered by a radial engine, the 190 had ample power and was able to lift larger loads than its well-known counterpart, the Messerschmitt BF 109. The 190 was used by the Luftwaffe in a wide variety of roles, including day fighter, fighter-bomber, ground-attack aircraft and, to a lesser degree, night fighter.

This EPO FW190 is an impressive model both in terms of looks and scale detail. With its 3 bladed prop, drop tank and pre-applied waterslide decals, this model really looks the part! Being Plug and fly, there is little to do in terms of building with the powerful motor, ESC & servos pre-fitted. This model features simple to install fixed landing gear yet is retract-ready if you choose to add your own retractable gear. Just add your own radio, receiver, 4S 2200mah lipo and your ready to fly!

Flight performance from this Second World War fighter is excellent. It has a wide flight envelope, capable of realistic scale aerobatics yet also manageable for the less experienced pilot. Due to its larger size, it will also tolerate a little wind making it a very practical model to own. The 1400mm FW190 is a must for the collection of any scale or warbird enthusiast!

Received the plane in under a week in good shape and for around $140 delivered , great price . It dose need some work but that's part of the fun .When gluing the model together use Tarzans Grip and you cant go wrong .If it flies as good as it looks it should be a nice plane .At this price you can put whatever you wont in it and still have a cheap plane .

fw190 overall great entry level warbird if your still new to flying i would leave this bird as is... no mods apart from installing retracts, as the landing gear fitted is sub standard wont last long, But for just over $100 excellent value for your money. apart from the crooked decals and a couple of small screws missing i was pretty happy with this package. I also bought the FMS spitfire and had more dramas with that compared to the fw190.

Nice looking plane and everything is included.
It needs significant weight in the nose to make CG. Do not fly without carefully adjusting Cg first.
The landing gear is not sufficient and will bend at the slightest hit. Gras starts and landings are a sure landing gear bender. If flying with the fixed landing gear you will have the huge holes in the lower wing (space for retracts) , that might disturb lift. I covered them with foil.
the pre-installed servos are weak, did not have enough throw on rudder and elevator and especially my rudder servo was not up for the task. This servo also controls the rear wheel and this wheel was allover the place.
It flies nice, sometimes even like a glider (if there wouldn't be so much lead in the front of the plane to make CG). This weight could be much better used for a larger battery.
But a bigger battery cannot be moved far enough to the front of the plane.
If you have a harder nose landing, the motor shaft will bend easily, then you are forced to buy a new motor.

This is a decent rendition of the FW-190. Although some scale parts are wrong, like the rudder balance, and some of the fuse shape, it looks great in the air, and flies fantastically. The stickers...well they suck. I planned on repainting, and printing out my own decals anyway, so it was no big deal. The tires are tiny, and for grass, you will need larger ones for sure. I installed a spinner from a FMS Stuka, and it looks the part. I would suspect any scale details you want to add could be fit directly from an FMS 1.4 meter plane. All in all, it is a great value for the price paid, and I plan on flying the wings off of it.

Anyone know where I can get a replacement prop?

Anyways, on to the review.

Good:
- Flies really nicely. Good predictable and stable. Nice first warbird.
- Cheap.
- Looks great in the air!

Bad:
- The markings look really rushed and, on mine at least, the patches of grey are just crosses. 2 swipes of a spraycan from a bored factory worker somewhere in China.
- The decals are wrinkly and little care has been taken with the application. I WISH they'd just send me the sheet and I'd do it myself.
- The landing gear is terrible. It differs from the ones in the maual and doesn't have the required bolts to attach them included. (I left mine off and hand launch it. Works fine.)
- the glue included is worthless. I fitted the tail with it and the pull of the elevator rod made the tail move left and right. I had to remove it and redo it with POR.
- The spinner doesn't look anything like an FW190. Interestingly, the manual shows a completely different (and better looking) prop, spinner, motor mount setup that's nothing like the one I had included.

also: THE MANUAL SAYS TO FIT THE WING SPAR UPSIDE DOWN!!!! You won't be able to do this because the wing cambers the opposite way but, when you're covered in the weak horrid glue, you don't need to be trying to work out what's the right way up.

Don't be put off by all thi

Firstly just let me say this is one Great flying plane, I have been in hobby for 30 years plus and my first Keil Kraft Super 60 was more difficult to fly!
Anyone with aileron experience can fly this as a second plane. I took my Alfa P51B out at same time and that is a absolute pig compared to this.

Ordered mine from HK warehouse and got stung by UK customs but no problem now in UK warehouse.

Plane was well packed and foam quality really good, assembled plane easily. the only things that I needed to change are below:

USED 13*8 APC clone prop as 3 blade looked ridiculous and I had spinner to fit - Excellent Power on this can fly at half throttle

Oiled pushrods to free them up with 3 in 1 oil

Now onto the only major issue, the undercarriage legs provided attach with grub screws and these are not up to the job, they rotate and came off on first landing. I found a post on internet for a mod which basically means you drill out plastic mount and you screw and glue the leg into this mount. Also the wheels are to small for grass, buy yourself a set of 2,5 inch replacements, even with this take off's on grass tricky. To be honest I just hand launch as this plane is such a pussy cat to fly, use the bomb as a hand hold. I may just take the wheels off to be honest and belly land.

If you could fix undercarriage issue Hobby King this would be a 5 star.

Even so great value for money, ho
