The FS-A8S is built for use in multi-rotor drones and is a 1-way receiver (no telemetry). It uses the extremely stable AFHDS 2A (Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System) protocol, supports standard PPM output and has i-BUS support for up to 18 channels.
This is an excellent addition to your Turnigy TGY-i6s, Turnigy Evolution or Turnigy AFHDS 9x transmitters.

Product is tiny which is perfect for small quads. It WILL bind with the Turnigy Tx's.
To do this, put Tx in bind mode, hold down bind button on Rx and connect power.
Tx will remain in bind mode and LED will continue to flash on Rx.
Switch off Tx, then switch on Tx.
LED should stop flashing on Rx and turn solid, it is now bound.Great receivers,I bought 5 and use them on my 500 quads and 250's .Range for what I do is perfect..I film using Visual Line of Sight..So you figure 500 feet on big quad still goes...Binded to Turnigy Fs-i6s ...and that's all I use..Is the only PPM radio I have so far..Great value.For those having throttle glitches, this happens due to the A8S being susceptible to interference when place close to Esc's or other electronics. Layers of heatshrink and tinfoil will resolve this issue for you . For the others saying its not compatible with the EVO, your are incorrect and mis-informing other customers, because it certainly is . I have multiple of these Rx's running with the EVO, you guys are simply trying to bind incorrectly. Plenty of you tube videos can demonstrate this. I am however disappointed that my recent purchase from HK , I received the V1 A8S and not the V2. Strange enough that my BG orders from january yielded me V2's yet my April purchase from HK got me V1's. Seriously HK ? Turnigy/Flysky needs to come out with another micro RX that has telemetry and is not prone to interference. I seriously hope you will listen to your customers cause the EVO is a great idea but you will slowly lose customers if you don't listen to feedback from us.I had issues with FS8A tricky bind but had throttle issue when I checked cli in bataflight noticed did not have antigravity setting in BF DID WIPE and reflash works great now ? bought 2 more works with update on mineSays it's compatible with the Turnigy Evolution but it's not, can't get it to bind at all.Tried three of these receivers with a Turnigy Evo that has been upgraded to the latest firmware. It appears that they are not compatible and there are weird glitches in the throttle.

It is quite tricky to bind it with the TGY-i6S Radio.
It comes with a small bind button under the paper clip, increasing the difficulty to bind with the Radio.i hoped to get a good range..(+300 it says??) but had a little range of 50meters , i crashed right into water!! thnx but it was an expensive receiver for me:) 130€ on damage :) back to the old receiver! very dissapointed
