This H-King version of the classic F4U Corsair warbird is manufactured in a superbly finished EPO foam in an authentic navy color scheme with all the decals pre-applied. The Corsair is a very stable flyer in its own right, for most pilots, the gyro is not necessary. However, for beginners and low hours pilots, a 6 axis ORX flight stabilization system is supplied which makes it even easier to fly. The stabilization system utilizes a 32bit MCU and a 6-axis digital gyro for ultra-fast control response, it can be switched from beginner to expert mode as your experience grows.

The F4U Corsair first saw service in World War ll and then the Korean war. It was designed as a carrier-based aircraft and entered service with the US Navy in 1944, it was also the first American fighter to exceed 400mph. The H-King F4U Corsair depicts "White 29", the mount flown by Lt Cmdr Ira C Kepford of fighter squadron VF-17 the "Jolly Rogers". It carries the famous Jolly Rogers skull and crossbones nose art as well as Kepfords 16 Rising Sun victory markings.

There is little to build with the H-King F4U Corsair. It comes 97% pre-built with the motor, ESC and servos pre-installed. All you need to do is fit the main wing, tail assembly, and plug in the main landing gear. You will also need your own transmitter, receiver, and flight battery.

It has the power to do all the maneuvers required for a World War II fighter and looks fantastic in the air. The stabilization system makes it very smooth and easy to fly and its small size is perfect for flying in local parks, large indoor areas, or the local flying patch.

Great little flyer.

Apr 05, 2023

Like many smaller warbirds, this one can be difficult to take off or launch but once in the air, it is a great little flyer. With a 2S battery, it is quiet and effective. Perfect for a morning flight when you are tired of flying your glider and want something more exciting but still peaceful enough to not bother others. Superb park flyer and a lot of fun. Don't go too slow or it will tip stall, but it is easy to repair.

Great little airplane.

Mar 17, 2023

This is a great little airplane that doesn't require much. Like all warbirds, it does best with speed. WWII fighter aircraft were designed to go fast. Any replica is going to have the same characteristics. Keep the speed up and this little bent wing plane will behave. Go slow and you will encounter some weird stall characteristics that are the same for the F4U no matter what size. Flaps would help a little with slower speeds, but with a curved wing, getting a flap size that would work may be too difficult. For the price... this is an awesome plane to experiment with.

Nice plane, flies very well

Dec 07, 2022

Very nice and detailed model. I fly it with gyro on Expert mode. With a 3S 1000mAh all forward in the nose the CG is perfect! (some millimeter rear than CG in the manual). A couple of trim up elevator and it flies like on rails. Hand launch by myself very easy to do... a little push and it starts right and steady. Very fast on full throttle. Never tried in beginner mode. I fly without landing gear.

A gorgeous park flyer, well worth the money and effort

Nov 21, 2022

This is a plane that I've wanted to buy for a long time. I my humble opinion, it's the best looking Corsair in the park flyer category. It has a ton of scale details, the paint job is amazing and the included electronic package is very good: Decent servos, powereful motor, and a stabilizer. I ordered a tiny Radiomaster R81 from HK, and connected it as SBUS, a very clean Rx setup.
My plane came in good shape, the box did a very good job at protecting it and the foam was undamaged. However the clevis on the elevator was broken. This is not so bad since two spare clevis were included in a bag. The rod for the elevator was about 10mm too long so it was impossible to adjust it properly by turning the clevis. The solution was to remove the rod, cut it at the servo end and make new z-bend. Then it worked perfectly and it became possible to make mechanical adjustments. Another small annoyances: The impossibility to purchase spare props as they're simply never in stock, but of course, substitutions are always possible... And with the recommended HK supplied batteries, it's impossible to hit the CG as stated. So I've added extra weights, or you could try your luck with a CG approx 5-10mm towards the rear.
Overall I'm very happy with this plane, it's gorgeous and flies great. The few minor things I had to fix were not showstoppers. I hope to see the HKing brand offer a 750mm Zero soon!

Tolles kleines Flugzeug

Nov 09, 2022

good purchase

Arrived in perfect condition. Took very little time/effort to setup. Remove some foam on bottom for rcvr. Changed to XT30 as draw exceeds 10A. Excellent climb-out. Good stability in both modes. Balanced at 50mm w/o problem, will try further back.

Really nice piece of work.

For the money, this is one of the best values out there. A simple $20 - $30 receiver and a battery and you are ready to fly a nice scale warbird with stability control all for under $150!
