    Here's an ESC for those that like to push their equipment a little - hotliner and EDF pilot's this means you!

    The Hobbyking 100amp ESC is Opto-isolated from the receiver, meaning that it has no internal UBEC to power your receiver and servos.

    Historically, you would need to purchase either an external UBEC or a separate receiver battery to complete your power system when utilising an Opto-coupled ESC.

    Not any more - We have a solution! This ESC is supplied with a pre-wired 5amp external UBEC, not just any UBEC, this is jumper adjustable to provide 5, 5.5 or 6 volt output to your radio equipment. The UBEC is wired directly to the battery input cables to the ESC.

    This arrangement will add a margin of safety to high powered (or highly strung) models. In the event that the ESC was to fail, the receiver and servos will remain powered and the pilot should be able to land his model safety.

    The only incident this system won't safeguard you against is Lipo cell failure - Always be sure your Lipo's are up to the task at hand and that you are drawing less than their rated 'C' current.

    Motor timing setting: low/medium/high
    Start up type: soft/medium/hard
    Mode: Normal or Helicopter mode
    Motor rotation: cw/ccw
    PWM operating frequency: 8KHz / 16KHz
    LVP type: slow down or dead cut

    You get what you pay for?
    Mine worked for about 2 minutes. Then it suddenly died (no warning no explanation).
    Now i need to go buy something new. Maybe choose something more expensive and hope it works for more than 2 minutes.

    Works great bought and had under estamated my setup plane pulls 95 amps and peeks well past the limits i know im messin with fire but its held up very well so far waiting for it to die on me its a great value the proper esc would cost more then plane is worth so if it dies it die.

    Installed in a HK550 6S setup. The BEC fried on the third power up, as I was installing the electronics. I opened the heatshrink covering the BEC. A yellow surface mount capictor (I think), blew out. It shot a spark about 2' into the air! I clipped it off and threw it away and ordered the Turnigy 8A-15ABurst UBEC. So far so good with this one. I mis-clicked on the overall rating it should have been 2 Crowns.

    ENCORE aucune documentation !

    AUCUNE indication concernant l'une ou l'autre carte de rglage.

    On devine et on vole ainsi ou on jette le bidule la poubelle (ce serait peut-tre plus prudent, non ?)
