The Colomban Cri-Cri is the smallest twin-engined manned aircraft in the world, designed in the early 1970s by French aeronautical engineer Michel Colomban. The aircraft is made from aluminum sheet glued to Klegecell foam and is capable of mild aerobatics. As with any homebuilt aircraft, Cri-cri's have often been modified by their builders, departing from the original design to a varying degree, resulting in different performances.

On September 5, 2010 Electravia accomplished a world record speed of 262 km/h (162.33 mph) for a lithium polymer powered aircraft using a Cri-Cri with two electric motors (each producing 25 hp) during the attempt.

Our Cri-Cri model, just like the full scale is made from foam except ours is EPO foam which means it has quick assembly and is extremely durable. Assembling the Cri Cri couldn't be easier, with the whole thing taking under an hour to complete. The steerable nosewheel gives the Cri-Cri good ground handling, while the counter-rotating propellers minimize any torque effect on take off.

Flying the Cri-Cri is really no different than any other sport model. It is capable of mild aerobatics like loops, rolls, and inverted flight. The small amount of dihedral means it is stable when up right. Landing is simple, simply ease the throttle back, and gently flare it on the mains, letting the nose settle down.

If you like scale models that are distinctive from everything else, be sure to check out the Cri Cri.

Brought this plane when it was on offer at 25 ! builds well & flew great but the nose leg steering push rods have come loose on third landing resulting in a nose over, Managed to straighten out pushrods & glued them in to place, seems ok now but make sure grass is short due to very small wheels. Had to buy a pair of new prop adaptors as the supplied pair were un useable due to being so far out of balance. I fly mine on a 3s 2200 lipo with ample space under canopy but had to fit an elastic band over canopy as it came off in flight due to magnets being not strong enough. all in all a great flying plane.

Hi!
Tried to Fly It on m'y first attempt. Well.... not as good as I expected. Should have secure the canopy more with tape or other way. So I did not even went up. Broke one motor shaft. Repaired with a home made shaft. Second attempt, went up but no control as my motor shaft was home made and both motors where not delivering same RPM so out of control and crash again. Now....I'm repairing again with an appropriated shaft. Will try again soon.
Regards,

Hi! Just recevied yesterday. Fast delivery to Canada (3 weeks, not bad) .Well packed and no missing parts. Easy assembly ( just a bit tricky to Install engins Mount as the motor wires are very tight, had to cut the ty -wrapt retaining the ESC's, plenty of space for all pieces (battery, receviez etc, etc). All parts fits very well. To bad There is no pilot figure but I Will manage to add one. Seem's strong enough to Handle any jind of flight. Front wheel seem's strong enought. I Will add some identification's nunbers on the top wing and some decals.
I'll let you inown how It flew.

It's arrived, triple boxed, with all my little extra's 3motors,props,servo's etc in the third box not in contact with the model, so the model looks pristine, all straight, no dents, all bits appear to be here, the main wing is comparatively thin for 1100mm so I expect it to fly quite fast with a highish stall speed, and it's just as ugly in the flesh as in the photo's, so four stars overall only for being so ugly I will apply some decals on the top of the wing to try to improve it's looks, 5stars for value how can I complain it cost AU$48! for my first ever twin motor plane, and 4 stars for quality, my experience with hobbyking pnf planes is not good, I've had major disasters with servo's falling out to esc's burning, so till it's in the air a few times I won't trust the esc's or the servo's, Ive already bought there replacements (esc's off ebay) charlie from spocktra50 says black esc's are good, the cri cri's esc's are black so I'm hoping he's right! *-) So looks good, I'll report back after several flights to see how it all panned out.

It's so cute.
But, nose gear device has weak structure, and nose gear servo has weak gear train.

The build went pretty well, easy in fact. The only things I noticed were:
The H-stab after it was screwed on tight was still loose. Fixed by adding washers. Threading and than connecting the motor wires was quite a chore.
My main concern was the cg. Using the 1500 I had to put the pack as far back as possible,,and put a 7g lead at the rear.
