The Slick 360 is one of the hottest looking aerobatic aircraft around but like all models in this class, looks alone are not enough, so it's a good thing that the Hobbyking Slick has been designed with one thing in mind, extreme 3D aerobatics!

The quality of this Slick is simply as good as it gets, the airframe has been constructed to keep the flying weight minimal but strong enough to take the punishment of extreme aerobatics, the superb quality covering has been expertly applied and for the final touch, the cowl, canopy and wheel pants are finished in a deep gloss paint. The hardware is excellent & also chosen to keep flying weight to an absolute minimum and of course the model features plug in wing & CF wing tube as you would expect for easy transportation.

The H-King Slick 360 performs every inch as good as it looks, naturaly it makes for a great sport plane but it would be fair to say that hardcore 3D is what the Slick has been designed for. The precision of the airframe, stunning looks, top line quality and amazing feather weight specs make the Slick 360 a must have plane for all aerobatic and 3D pilots!

Davvero un buon modello 3D, peccato che sia in back order da credo almeno un anno!
Io lo starei aspettando perchè ho sfasciato il mio.

for my slick i built the exact same as michael wargo's setup, only difference is the rudder mod. she flies ok but i find inverted harrier has a ton of wing rock, have to do that maneuver very high up. otherwise she flies good.
about the recommended parts that i used....
after 11 flights the rudder would flutter back and forth about 3/4" on the ground. decided to put another new 2216 in, plug it into a spare rx to center it and it works but i pick it up and it is getting hot, light on rx is dim and servo doesn't work. i can get it to work by plugging it into rx after i power rx up first but it still gets hot. plug another 2 new ones in and same thing. earlier this year i swapped out two hs65mg's in the ailerons on my skywing mxs fot 2216's and after about 30 flights one aileron is fluttering bad. these servos are krap. my 2 year old skywing has had power hd 2216's in elev and rudder with no probs to date. i thought turnigy 2216's were rebranded power hd 2216's but after my experiencei think turnigys are poor copies.
oh... and the hk ds929's i put in the slick 360 as ailerons.... after 11 flights are sloppy at center. not impressed. i would have posted this under the 2216 listing but it wont let me.

Hi All, this is the setup, I finally settled on.

Hyperion HP Zs 3025B-10, 775Kv Back-mount outrunner. (All vent & mounting holes line up for a perfect fit, with a 3mm gap between spinner & cowl)
HK Blue Series 70A ESC. (Burst 90A)
KST DS-115MG x 4/20gram servos (3kg, 0.07sec) with alloy KST long servo arms.
MP JET 2mm Ball Links (all control rods)
Control Rods - 2mm threaded rod (inner) with 3mm dia. C/F tube (outer).
Aero Star 14 x 6 Electric Wood Prop.
Miracle 'Ultra Lite' 50 Dia. Alloy Spinner (in-built collet type to suit 5mm shaft)
P.A. 4S 2200mAh LiPo with XT-60 connectors.
P.A. 55mm Dia. (KMX) Foam Main Wheels.
All hinge gaps taped.
All warps ironed out.(elevator halves & LH aileron very twisted) All now 0 degrees
A few extra balsa braces added, and most joints hardened with thin cyano.
My ready to fly weight has come in at 1560grams (56 3/4oz) (no ballast)
WOT is producing a little over 1kW. (I will try some VOX props as well)
All control surfaces give 'over' max specified throws.(which should be adequate)
I'm looking forward to the maiden soon..................hopefully all goes to plan!
Pete

Maiden last week at Markham Park (Ft Lauderdale) in 15 mph winds. Easy take off and plane is easy to fly. Landings are easy and the plane has enough power for 3d with the set up I have listed in a previous post. Handles wind well and with this power who needs gas power!! Ayrarayrai.....

This plane is beautiful well built. The landing gear is tall enough to tack a 14" prop. All the part fit really well. I got the orange & white plane should show up great in the sky.

Just finished the build on this great plane, just awaiting on servos which should be here soon. When I first got into the box I could see the quality of this kit....it rivals any ARF I have ever built when it comes to quality. Everything fit perfectly and the covering is beautifully applied and looks to be quality material. The only real issue I had was I'm going to use Hitec hs85's and the servo holes are to small for the dimensions of this servo, not really a big deal just had to open them up 3mm on each side and still have enough meat on the plywood frame around the hole for the servo retaining screws to bite on. If you use the recommended turnigy servos..or better yet some KST servos or their counterparts here at Hobby King you shouldn't have this issue. Overall this kit is the best that they are selling at the moment imho. I'm sure when I get it in the air it will fly as good as it looks.

Quality is actually pretty good for such a cheap plane! Assembly was straight forward. Here is my setup
NTM Prop Drive Series 42-38 750kv / 785w
ZIPPY Flightmax 3000mAh 4S1P 40C
Turnigy dlux 70A SBEC Brushless Speed Controller w/Data Logging
APC 14X7 Elec prop
TGY-211DMH Metal gear Coreless Digital Servo w/ Heat Sink 2.3kg / .10sec / 16g

Those servo's work well and fit straight in. I epoxied a piece of ply on the back of the motor mount and drilled new holes to be able to fit the larger motor, I also reinforced the joins with some gorilla glue. With this setup the plane has an awesome vertical climb rate, very cool plane!

I've owned and flown this plane now for about 4 months. It is by far the most universal plane in my fleet of 18 planes. It is very light and can do any move you want up in the sky. Very low wing loading so it floats in for the landings. I have a .32 sized Motrofly motor with and 80amp esc and I run 4 cell 2600 mah 30 to 40c batteries and a 14x7 prop. This plane just goes where you tell it to and is great as a sports plane also. The quality is excellent in build and looks. I compare with my friends 3DHS version and although there are differences, mine is lighter and a hundred bucks cheaper. I added a Sullivan tail wheel and carbon fiber landing gear and used Dubro hardware on my build. If you can have only one plane, this is the only one you'll need.
