This great-looking EDF sports jet is the one you have all been waiting for, and it has one of the lowest all-up weights in its class, it is a good 500g lighter than comparable models that are available on the market today. It is a sport scale design and is based on the iconic BAE Hawk trainer as used by military air forces all over the world. This easy-to-assemble model has been termed as an almost ready-to-fly-plus, it is completely built out of the box, the wings, all-flying horizontal stabilizers, and vertical stabilizer just bolt-on, and pre-installed are a set of all-metal electronic retracts with doors, sequencer control box, and lightweight wheels, 11 high-torque, metal-geared digital servos, and a set of pre-installed, day-bright LED lights. The Sports Hawk comes pre-painted in a Formula One-inspired paint scheme and includes a set of HobbyKing brand decals that you can apply if you wish. The pre-painted Sport Hawk color scheme lends itself nicely to having other sponsorship decals being applied, or you could even repaint it in a custom color scheme, the choice is yours. A nice touch is the removable base to the cockpit area which makes it very easy to add a pilot and more cockpit detail if you wish.

The items you will need to supply are a 100~110mm fan unit with motor, we recommend the JP 105mm EDF unit with 4250-875KV motor (see related items), a suitable HV ESC capable of handling 130~160A @ 44.4V (12S), a BEC system, and 2 x 6S (22.2V) 5000~7000mAh 65C battery packs wired in series, and a suitable transmitter and receiver. As mentioned above, the assembly of the Sport Hawk is very straightforward as there is a very low parts count, being bolt-on, the wings and tail stay removable which makes for easier storage and transportation. The only glue required is for some small plastic components such as the wing fences, etc, and also supplied are 3D printed shrouds and EDF intakes that suit the JP 105mm unit. 3D print files will be made available for you to 3D print components for other diameters, and other makes of EDF fan units. The other thing that makes the Sport Hawk stand out from the crowd is the material it is constructed from, this is an innovative high-density EPO foam, that is tougher and stronger than other types of EPO foam.
