the build quality of this plane overall is very good. however there is a well documented fault ,in that the horizontal tailfin is very weak and snaps in flight. on the initial flight mine snaped off on the control side .this resulted InMe crashing the plane and it was very badly damaged. I did contact customer services to complain I provided lots of photographs and told then I had Witnesses to prove I wasn't doing any airobatic Maneuvers ,simply banking to the left to fly over the landing strip. their response was ,they require a video.Hobbyking provide a great service great product at a decent price but their customer service is very poor. Ihave purchased a new model and will spend time upgrading the weak tailfin. I don't understand why after all the recorded documentation ,about this fault Hobbyking have done nothing about it? why don't they simply have it upgraded and bring out a veversion 2

Excellent flying plane does all the tricks in the book. But make sure the tail is braced ( horizontal tail plane) as I've heard alot of people say they fail in flight and I can confirm they do!!!! But overall a great pane and would recommend to others.

bought one of these, built it up, looks great
fantastic colours
however
first flight and the rear horizontal stabilizer broke in the middle
got it down ok and have repaired it, flew it again and it flies great
for first flight I would say put the rates very low
all in all a good plane after the tail broke that is

Bought it for my 8 years old son as a first wooden 3D plane and first model from Hobbyking.
Very good quality for the price. Built extremly light. Setup: E-MAX GT2815/07, RAY R-40B (40A) BEC, 4 x HS 5065MG, DINOGY 3S 2200mAh 65C (9-10 minutes light 3D flight). Flyes great, feels very light in the air. Higly recommended (not for inexperienced pilots).

I did the carbon fibre mod to the rear end and I've had no problems
Also I used a 1450 kv motor

The Domin-8-trix is a well-built, light 3D airplane with great features, good looks, and with the right setup, can deliver hard core 3D to the twitchiest of thumbs. Now consider it's low cost, and you have a 5-star rating for value. For quality, I have to give it 4 stars, as there are a couple beefs that I have with the plane. The stabilizer is weak. VERY weak. I read about this flaw in other reviews but didn't think too much of it, and I paid the price. The stabilizer snapped in mid air while flying at a high speed. This was just flying straight mind you. I was able to land it and fix it, so I will continue to enjoy this awesome looking plane. But please, for the love of Pete, modify your stabilizer BEFORE you fly it. Epoxy a flat carbon spar on the leading edge and the trailing edge of the stabilizer on the bottom side. It will make it 10 times stronger, and it won't break apart. Also, my stabilizer came split, which is kind of a drag. Not a big deal, but you have to connect the two sides with that meal piece and blah blah. It's just not as nice. For the main wings, the screws did not line up well, but it came together with some help. Get a light motor, because the plane was nose heavy with the motor I planned to use. I swapped in a Turnigy D3536/8 that was laying around and had pretty good luck. The weight of that motor is perfect. But the SK3-3536 1050kv
