The HobbyKing™ Ridge Ryder Slope Wing was designed as a compact, simple, stable, and purpose built wing specifically for the dynamic world of slope soaring. The all molded EPO foam airframe is rugged and light weight, while a single piece carbon spar keeps the model very stiff and crisp in response.
One of the biggest battles over the ages has been adding additional ballast to your slope wing, most designs having little to no consideration for it. You are then left with the task of taping on weight, or using clay to add the extra weight needed.
We've eliminated that need on the Ridge Ryder by pre-installing twin ballast tubes into the model. This allows you to add ballast weight as and when necessary and should you have a little extra space, no problem! foam spacers are provided to take up the extra room allowing you to fine-tune your center of gravity.
The HobbyKing™ Ridge Ryder is the perfect addition to your hangar. Its small size is perfect to pack with you on a hike or keep in the car. It handles light lift as well as heavier conditions while being stable and nimble at the same time!
