What a well made motor. the cooling fins are part of the can not just glued on. smooth running. Running in a 70 mm edf on 6s.

It is the longest 28 mm I have ever seen.

Testing will come soon.

I use this in a 3.5 m F3J Ecllipse, with Kontronic 5.2:1 gearboxx, pulls approx 40 amps turning a 23inch x 12Inch prop without a problem, performance is excellent but not quite competive in 200 watts per Kilo class as allup weight of plane is around 2.5 kilos. therefore 400 watt limit comes into play. Its better when flown on similar set up my Ava 3.2m

KB28-67-12XL MOTOR

Nov 14, 2007

I know it is a motor for CARS. Have mounted it in a 3-inch 7-blade edf of HC.

Reached 55 oz. with self made intake ring (approx. 1500g) of thrust with 2 Zippy-K 4300mAh 3S1P in series (=6S) and HXT 80A ESC. ESC gets a little warm. Motor with good cooling warm but not too hot (more mass than others). (cut off front fins to fit in 3-inch fan and also took a bit off the rear of the fan. Works great and does not overheat like other setups. Could not check watts yet. Got 3 of those motors. The motors run very quiet. Always tempted to check the rpm! I am very happy with it.
