HobbyKing 3D Printer Filament 1.75mm PA Nylon 1.0KG Spool (White)

HobbyKing have come out with a huge new range of 3D Printer Filaments at prices that will have you printing all day and all night.

The range covers PLA, ABS, Flexible, Color Changing, Luminous, Nylon, Polycarbonate, Acetal (POM), Metal Composite and even a water soluble filament for printing molds. So there is a filament for every project you have in mind. HobbyKing filaments have a stable melting point, good round shape and most importantly a 0.01mm uniform diameter tolerance for a consistent flow rate.

PA Nylon:

PA Nylon filaments can be used for printing items that require strong flexibility and repeated use such as hinges.

When using PA Nylon it is recommended that the print bed is heated to prevent warping. As Nylon doesn’t stick to glass or aluminum it is recommended to use another material as lining for your print bed.

3D printing is a fun and exciting hobby with a wide range of uses from prototyping parts to making toys for the kids. Picking the right filament for your application is very important.

Good for specific applications

Feb 25, 2019

Despite of fact, that filament has been sealed in vacuum package, it needed to be dried before printing.
Usable temp range for me was 260-275. With lower temp I get good finish quality and very bad layer adhesion and on 275 vice versa. Decided to use 270 °C but still layer adhesion is still worse than for example PETG/ABS. I used Volcano hotend so for V6 temps temp can be +5 or 10 °C/
Immediately after printing is print very soft but let it absorb some humidity outside and it will become very strong. Definitely better strenght than PLA/ABS/PETG, except weak layer adhesion, so properly set print direction.
For bed adhesion I was successful with bed on 100°C, use 3-4 layers of gluestick and 5mm brim. Otherwise it tends to warp a lot.
Prints are a bit stringy.
Overall I am recommending to use it for functional parts which will not be stressing layer bonds.
