Great motor, I use this motor on a MPX Funcup towplane with 4 cell batt, 80 Amp Esc. 13x4 prop

It pull 73 Amp static, and messured to 54 Amp in flight.

It go vertical up with 2,5 meter gliders, and have towed a 3,2 meter F3b a 2,5 meter glider at the same time.

And my towing record is a 6,5 kg 4,85 meter glider.

Videos are at my youtube chanal:

I have purchased one of these motors to put in my coverted seagull brand PC9which was designed for nitro, it works a treat with a 60 amp speedy and a 4 or 5s setup.

I am using turnigy4000mah and zippy5000mah batteries and get approximatly 7-9 min flights depending on wind strength.

It flys on 3/4 throttle spinning a 10.5 x 6 electric prop and has a resonable amount of speed.

It weighs in at approx 2.3 kg all up and is great to fly and no messy oil to clean up afterwards.

Currently in the process of putting retracts and flaps on, so next flight should be interesting.

Hope this helps someone out there by the way I just bought another motor and am going to convert an edge 540.

Have fun

This motor is fabulous!. I put it into an SE5A model that I built after having the kit in my closet for 37 years. It is a 1/6 scale model, all balsa and ply and covered with SIG Koverall. The kit was designed by Dave Platt for 40 -60 glow power and put out by Aeroflyte. This little motor, throwing a 13 X 4 prop gives more than enough power for this model and with a 3,800mAh 4s lipoly battery it provides flight times of 12 minutes, with a little to spare. Great motor and beautifully made. Highly recommended!

Wow, this motor has lots of power. So far I have only run it on the test bench with a 10x6 JXF prop but I am impressed. It seems very well built and balanced. I am really looking forward to getting this one in the air.

I use This motor on my Messersmith 163,

8x8 prop and 6 cell 3600 Mha battery

60 amp on 6 cell batt, 1300 watt

80 Amp ESC

I have changed the motor to backside mounting, (not that hard, must make a new cut in the axel for the locking washer)

Great speed

This motor works a treat with my converted seagull pilatus PC9 which weighes in at 2.3 kg.

I tried to use an old motor which I had in a glider with a 40 amp speedy but burnt it our while flying in a comp. Got home and went online and saw this motor and decided that I would give it a go.

So glad that I did, I bought this and an eighty amp turnigy controller, I am spinning a 10.5x6 gas prop and it is absolutely fantastic just as much power as a glow 46. The guys at my club were very impressed with the power. I am running a turnigy 4000 mah 4S on it and in heavy wind almost flying backwards I got a 9 min flight and when I checked the temp of the motor speedy and battery afterward none of them were over 30 deg C.

I can not recommend this motor set up enough if you are doing a conversion of a forty size gas powered plane it is magnificent.

I am going to stick one in my edge 540 as well and increase the prop to 11x5 and see how it goes.

anyway good flying and thanks for reading.
