Turnigy SK3 brushless motors are yet another step forward in motor evolution.

Once again we instructed our engineers to develop a motor that would not only rival but surpass the quality of the leading motors on the market today using the best quality magnets, bearings, and materials available.

The result is an outstanding series of motors that are efficient, strong, and robust enough for the most discerning modeler.

All of the SK3 series use quality double-shielded bearings, sintered neodymium magnets (the strongest type of permanent magnet commercially available), and a string wound stator to ensure accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a top-quality brushless motor without compromise.

Features:
• Double shielded bearings
• Sintered neodymium magnets
• String wound stator
• High-quality finish
• Super-smooth operation

Has plenty of torque for a small motor. if you want a motor for a small glider, quad copter or small plane, I recommend this motor.

These are nice motors. I bought 3 of them a year ago, and have been happy with all of them. My favourite prop for these has been a BlueBird 9x6E, basically equivalent to the APC 9x6E. (Note that this is NOT the SlowFly prop, although the 9x4.7SF is also decent.) With 2200 mAh, 25C, 3S LiPo and 15A to 18A ESC, one of these will haul 25 oz (700 g) around the sky with authority. Search YouTube for "flying over Rouge Beach" for one example.

Very good motors, used on quad. everything needed in the box. Just choose your mounting.
A bit of equilibration and done. Multicopter flies superbly with flips. 9x6 props give largely enough thrust. Loops and Rolls.

Engine very well balanced. Hardly needed to be balanced. I bought 5 engines and only one required a little adjustment, if you are too picky, otherwise do not require adjustment. Makes very little noise. Undecided what propeller to use, but probably 8" once the engine has a max load of 13A.

Got these for a quad 450. shiny stainless /chrome appearance. Very smooth and responsive with 30a blue series esc (sim.k firm.). Just warm after 10 minutes flight.Comes with prop adapters but you'll need 3mm mounting screws.
Noticed Motor spins freely and smooth with gentle flick before flight (cold), after flight (warm ),motor wont spin as well. Bearing well lubed with scorpion motor oil. Not sure if its bearing issues ,still very quite and smooth in flight.

I have 8 of these motors on two quads. A couple of them seemed like the bearings were a bit rough at first and they were noisy when running. After a few hours flying time they seem to have smoothed out. Plenty of power using 8x4.7x3 props. I have tried running 10x4.7 two blade and they fly great, but seem a bit warm after an 8 min flight. Quad is more responsive with the 8x4.7 three blade. Hovers at half throttle with both size props. I have some 9x4.7 two blade on the way and will update as to how these work. So far so good. I am running the HK SS Series 18-20 amp ESC and they work fine with this motor. I like the bolt on prop adapter that come with the motors. I have crashed several times with no motor or shaft damage, even though I broke all the blades off the props. I will buy these motors again for my next project. It's going to be real hard to beat these for the price.

Value plusplusplus! Very smooth acceleration. Very professional in all aspects at a price not really different from the rest. Comes in a sleek black foam padded box along with prop adaptors for whatever end you want to drive your prop from. Gold plugs come already attached so no faulty motor fear from soldering plugs yourself. Spoil yourself!

These motors are excellent. I bought 5 of these (4plus1 spare) for a quad copter and the 4 I used worked perfectly and consistently. the bearings are smooth, and stayed that way after about an hour of various flying indoor and out in the cold and snow. The insulation is a bit thin though, and one of the wires of one of the motors got knicked in a crash. Still works though ;) I use these with the cheap plastic 8x4.5 props, they work well.
