Description

Turnigy SK3 Motors are the next leap forward in motor quality and design. We instructed the engineers to source the best quality magnets, bearings and materials available to them and develop a motor that would not only rival, but surpass the quality of many leading motor manufactures on the market today.

The result is an efficient, high caliber motor using quality double shielded bearings, sintered Neodymium magnets and a string wound stator ensuring an accurate and consistent winding each and every time.

The Turnigy SK3 motors are suited to modelers who are seeking a quality brushless motor without compromise.

Winding insulation, very bad. I use 40Amp ESC , and after two crashes, I lost two motors, because of blocking propelers. Smell bad !

Tabi satarken krmdan bahsettim.

Ordered one for an electrifly nieuport 11, very satisfied by the engine. well engineered, complete accessories, and a nice packing (i know we don't fly the box, but that's a pleasure to open it). Connected to a plush 20 , a 1650 3s , and 10x5 APC style
Regarding my appliance, a bipe weighting about 700 g, the engine is overpowering, i take off half throttle, fly on a third or a fourth.
I see this motor really matching the specs, no doubt i will buy another one for my next dare sopwith tripe. Shall i say i recommend it ?

seems like a good motor, just dont expect to use the bottom housing mounts, the screws are so thin a baby would strip them. also the wires come out of the housing in different holes in relation to the mounting plate between motors.

I always re-wind Turnigy motors when I buy them, but I cannot figure out how to disassemble this one. I removed the circlip on the back, but the shaft remains firmly within the bearing tube. Is there a hidden circlip, or is the shaft glued to the bearings?

Very nice motor. It is a comparable motor to the Turnigy 2213/20. 61g with 3,5mm gold connectors and the prop holder (fixed with 3 screws). The 3 screws are not the best quality, so don't screw them too strong, or the winding will break. I have measured this motor (and the Turnigy 2213/20) with my Eagletree gear and uploaded the data to drivecalc. You can use this program to try different props. and find the right configuration. (Turnigy SK3 2830-1020 - timing med) perfect motor for quadcopters: measured for example following combination: Turnigy Platinum 40A ESC;
APC SF 10x3,8 Prop.; Voltage: 11,24V; Current: 18,76A; RPM: 7912; thrust: around 1100g

Overall nice little motors, let down by poor quality control... I bought 6 for my Y6 multicopter, but 2 have very rough bearings and one of those two had poorly tapped holes on the top of the bell for mounting the alternative prop adaptor - I had to use sleeve lock and some epoxy on the adaptor to hold it firmly in place.
