50% Failure Rate

Jan 11, 2017

I've had good success with HK products but luck ran out on this. Ordered two and one was DOA. I doubt if it's cost effective to send it back but filled out their form anyway and will see what happens. Working one seems quite good.

Great servos!
I've used them in a couple of 5 to 7lb planes......but been out of stock for MONTHS.
Has this been superseded by another model?????????

I want to use two of these servos as sailarm servos in a small sail boat (Graupner Micro Magic). It was easy to open the housing of the servos for attaching 1 KOhm resistors at the potentiometer to get a wider travel range of about 170? full stroke. The servos look robust and seem to have a solid gear. If they do their task in in the sail boot well will show the future. They are not the fastest ones, but I wanted to have leight weight with high torque at low power consuption. Seems it was a good choice.

WARNING! I bought 4 of these for a plane and after about 5min of flight one went full direction one way (elevator). Slammed the plane into the ground. To be fair, I live in a cold climate. -5c when this occured (After -20c my fingers don't work too well).Tested it several times and works okay warm. Be careful. On another note, the 1353mm Beaver sold by Hobbyking is pretty tough. ;)

Hi, I am a 20 yr RC pilot and fly everything from electrics to 35pcnt gas. I have purchased alot from you and I am having a issue with servos I just got..I thought I would give inexpensive ones for a try. The servos are: Turnigy S3317B Servo 19g / 2.5kg / .14sec (USA Warehouse) They all do a 90 degree sweep on power-up and then return to center and operate normally. I normally use Hi-Tech or JR brands and have never seen this before. I can't use them as the will break the control linkage on power-up.I would like to buy a better set (4) from you and get credit for the ones I bought and will return them. I
