kit arrived with missing laser cut board! In process for RMA but I dont thing HK will sent only the missing part! I will have to sent back the item to HB!! less trouble to buy wood and make that missing part!

My kit arrived with missing laser cut board,tried for several weeks to have this resolved with hobbyking,but had to use paypal for refund,cannot build boat so gave up.

Just my own opinion but the kit I received on looks seemed to be a very average cut kit there were burn marks all over the ply. the actual kit goes together very nicely but I would recommend a few things. The ply has been badly laminated enough that some of the parts are very weak (top section and covers)
First and foremost throw out the carbon tubing it is of very low quality put steel or brass tubes in that protrude slightly from the sponsons and main hull and use carbon rod that fits into the tubing use small clips to hold it in.
do not use CA glue to put a ply kit together use a pva and seal with a good epoxy resin.

I wont go into the hardware selection just yet but I will do a build diary on the forum when im done

Part 1
Well upon opening the box I was very impressed with cut quality and overall quality of the plywood. Some of the laser work needed an xacto to pop free though, but fit and finish seems to be dead on. Ill post another review once I finish the build with all my hardware used and tuning tips.

Hey Hobby King, we want a STRUT for this hull. Nobody can do much with all these hulls without the hardware!

2mm ply except tub sides which are 2.3mm. The design is heavy. No foam cores for the sponsons. Sponsons are permanently attached with current design. Design will make it difficult to make sponsons removable. Holes already in transom- bad thing when you cant get the right strut!

I would like to build 3-4 of these in total to encourage others to boat in my area.
