XRAY X12 1/12th Scale Electric Touring Car 2014 (Kit)

Designed using sophisticated CAD tools, and manufactured using the world’s most precision machines, the X12 achieves a level of perfection in all details that is second to none. All parts are purpose-designed and manufactured by XRAY. From unique HUDY Spring Steel™, to Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum, XRAY’s own secret composite mixtures, through high grade graphite materials; everything is exclusive and premium on the X12.

The new narrower chassis was designed for improved steering response, centralized weight balance and overall traction for all track surfaces. The narrow chassis has more torsional stability which results in increased grip and eliminates the scrub effect in high-speed corners.

Battery placement was moved to the left side for improved side-to-side weight balance and to reduce rear pod binding caused by motor wires. The position of the battery in the chassis has a significant influence on weight balance adjustment as well. The rear brace has two different cutouts which allows the precise fit of the battery, either horizontally or vertically.

The X12's front suspension has been completely redesigned for 2014 with the lower suspension arms featuring eccentric aluminum inserts which allow quick & easy changing and setting up of track-width depending on track conditions. Additionally, ride height can be adjusted through the use of varying thicknesses of shims

Reactive caster is easily adjusted by using easy-to-change eccentric bushings of 2.5°, 5.0° or 7.5° (included). Ride height is easily adjustable using included eccentric rear axle bushings, as well as adjustable shock preload for middle ride height adjustment. A ball type rear differential features high-grade precision carbide balls for spur gear, hardened and precision-ground D-steel shims, and premium carbide axial thrust bearing.
