Great little flier with so (too?) much spare power!

Notes

1. The given GoG is not right... I needed a bit of lead in the cowl.

2. The statement

"Heavy Duty Undercarriage...capable of handling the roughest of strips"

is an absolute lie!! It's wire that will bend back on most grass field landings!

I think removing the wheel spats/pants & putting bigger wheels on is a must for grass landings! Even there, the wire might need to be replaced with thicker gauge.

Speed is not a question here even on 3S but beware, it is extremely sensitive and requires a soft touch. It is not a beginner nor even for some experienced fliers. If it goes into the ground you can kiss it good-bye, I know!

I have had quite a few experiences with this lovely high performance Edge 540, which is an amazing RC airplane. However I would not recommend this model to beginners, as it is a bit difficult to handle!

flies difficult, not for beginners. overall dimensions are not very well thought of: wingarea versus speed versus lengt of the plane. it just seems off from the actual plane in real life. anyway it flies, but you really have to tweek a lot. I use 30pcnt throws on all surfaces.

A speed monster!

it's my funny racer (usually i use Hyperbibe). It's very precise and fast.

Not suggested for beginners.

J' ai commander cette avion et j' en suis trs content la structure est solide et bien faites et l 'avion semble sain.
J' ai vrifier et resserer toutes les vis de l' avion et renforcer tous les collages pour tre sur.
Il vole avec lipo 3s 1800 mah turnigy nanoteck 65c 130c mais le nez est trs lourd je dois reculer la lipo au max dans le compartiment. Je pense essayer une de mes 4s mais vu leurs poids au 4s je pense ajouter du poids dans la queue pour corriger ce nez trop lourd

What can you say, every one else has covered the build, the quality etc.
This is not a large aeroplane, it is sleek, it is very clean and on a 4s it is very very fast.
This means that it becomes even smaller very quickly. Didn't seem to get the tip stall or wing drop that others have, behaved very predictably at the stalling point and easily recovered. This is an adrenalin model for those days when you just have to be a sky vandal.
Beware the faux undercarriage, it can cope with a take-off, looks very nice in the air but on landing it just becomes an arrestor system and brakes. Unless you cant live without wheels I would just take it off, put some reinforcing tape on the bottom of the fuselage for belly landings and go with hand launch.
Oh, before I forget, ditch the spinner, it is very much out of balance and not that easy to rectify, the prop is ok but I would go with a better higher quality 7*6

EXCELLENT VALUE PLANE. WELL THOUGHT OF DESIGN. NO GLUE NEEDED, JUST CLICKS TOGETHER. I USED A 1300MAH THREE CELL NANO TECH WHICH HAD AMPLE POWER FOR FAST SPEEDS. AS WITH THE OTHER REVIEWS THE PLANE NEEDS TO FLY VERY FAST TO BE STABLE AND TO LAND FAST SO AS NOT TO STALL. BUT APART FROM THAT WELL WORTH THE MONEY. ITS ALSO A VERY NICE LOOKING PLANE. VERY QUICK DELIVERY THANKYOU HOBBYKING.
