nice plane,, but cg extremely hard to achieve. i have used a 4s bat. and fitted it as far in the nose as i could. and im still about 10mm short. i fitted a innerunner inside the motor mount instead of outside of it. i have not tried the plane yet due to the cg problem. i could put some weight in the nose. but i dont want to had weight to the plane yet. the ply piece where the wing blot on, touches the servo arms and need to be modified a bit.

otherwise nice plane.. use a very light motor to avoid the cg problem.

Here is my setup.

Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3530-1460kv Brushless Outrunner Motor

TURNIGY Plush 60amp Speed Controller

7x4 propeller

Turnigy nano-tech 1800mah 3S 25~50C Lipo Pack

2 x Digital high torque bearing servo 12g/2.6kg

On this setup, it flies great and fast even on half trottle. Infinite vertical is no problem. Flight time is about 4 1/2 and 5 minutes.

I am not happy with the landing gear. It is too weak for this plane.

Managed to make it stronger after a few adjustments.

Bear in mind that this is NOT A BEGINNERS PLANE !

There is a video on YouTube. Search for "Whisper Jet".

Also look in the video section from the Hong Kong store for the setup and modifications made on this plane. Good luck !

top little plane, flies really well, but the landing gear is weak, i ended up epoxying it in to the wing and now its great, also use a metal engine mount as the original is very weak.

I bought mine from the international warehouse 2 days before they got here, plane goes together well but i did not use the original mount
i used one of hobby kings metal mounts attached with blind nuts, found the landing gear very weak and it folded back in the wing on the 2nd landing but the grass was wet. flys like a jet and can be a bit touchy as i had no expo set but other than that it is good value for money and glides in well.

I used a TR 35-36A 1450Kv motor, turning a TGS 7x6 prop on 3S 2200mAh Turnigy 30C Lipo. Power draw 400W - excellent thrust and speed! Initial ESC was a Plush 40A, but later installed the Mystery SBEC 40A to allow additional servos (see below).
Initial flights were handlaunch - a bit scary as this plane needs a bit of speed to fly, and the rear prop is a bit of a worry. Once flight proven, I installed retracts (micro pneumatic). It was a little cramped but still relatively simple. I also installed rudders.
I used HD digital micro servos for accuracy.
Overall I am VERY happy with this plane. It is fast and precise, and looks very cool, especially with the retracts. I don't recommend bothering with the fixed gear - it will simply end up ripping out. I secured the retracts using nylon bolts, so a hard landing with pull out the retract rather than damage the plane. This plane looks cool and flies great! Photos and videos in those sections.
