Tank Vent for Gas Models

Jul 18, 2017

This is my number 4th vent in 3rd time buy. I said even earlier that few colours variation would be highly appreciated. e.g. red, black, blue and golden/yellow. Highly recommended product.

Excellent product

Again I have bought two of these product, wonderful scale looks. You can use fuel pipe of 2.8mm ~ 3.2mm ID. But it comes only in Silver colour, it would be nice if they also comes in different colour variation as SKU: 9372000048-0 | SKU: 9372000047-0 | SKU: 9372000049-0

But one thing I would like to mention here that shipping for this item is 23g while similar shape and sizes & bit heavier items(SKU: 9372000048-0 | SKU: 9372000047-0 | SKU: 9372000049-0 | SKU: 9372000046-0) shipping weight is only 18g, HobbyKing should revised shipping weight of this item.

una buena opcin para no dejar solo el macarron a la vista, aunque un poco grande queda perfectamente integrado en cualquier carena o fuselaje.

buen producto.

A much neater way to vent excess fuel and allow your tank to breathe. Not too much that can go wrong with this part.

Diameter is 30mm for external side, requires a 8mm hole in fuselage and tube barb is 4mm diameter, used for overflow/vent on gasoline powered planes in my application. looks and works great placed on bottom of plane, be sure to put a loop or two of fuel line horizontal above gas tank before routing to this vent.

these are ok for the smaller size gas engines and they look like a factory job on your plane You can enlarge the hole a bit with small drill but they are ok for my 30cc engines Just remember the longer the vent pipe the more restriction you create especially if you use small ID tubing when my supply line is 3mm I put 5mm tubing on the vent line as to stop engine from not getting enough fuel to the carb and remember to put some sponge under tank as to stop the vibration from creating bubbles in the petrol like what happened to me when I mounted the tank with double sided tape which gave me lots of bubbles/ air in the supply line and I thought my fuel lines had holes meantime tank was mounted to rigid and I replaced it with foam and all bubbles/air was gone so remember vibration creates lots of different problems
