Our 3D Slick is one of the hottest looking aerobatic aircraft around but like all models in this class, looks alone are not enough, so its a good thing that the HobbyKing® ™ 3D Slick has been designed with one thing in mind, extreme 3D aerobatics!

The quality of our 3D Slick is simply great! The airframe has been constructed to keep the flying weight minimal but strong enough to take the punishment of extreme aerobatics, the superb quality covering has been expertly applied and for the final touch, the cowl, canopy and wheel pants are finished in a bright Red gloss paint. The hardware is excellent, chosen to keep flying weight to an absolute minimum and of course the model encompasses features like a pre-assembled heavy-duty motor box with pre-drilled firewall, heavy-duty carbon wing spar, thumb-screw wing attachment, carbon fibre under carriage with aluminum wheel axles, latching canopy, pull-pull cables for the rudder and carbon fibre control horns - The HobbyKing® ™ 3D Slick ARF will get you in the air quickly and easily.

Our 3D Slick performs every inch as good as it looks, naturaly it makes for a great sport plane but it would be fair to say that hardcore 3D is what the 3D Slick has been designed for. The precision of the airframe, stunning looks, top quality and amazing light weight specs make the 3D Slick a must have plane for all aerobatic and 3D pilots!

Manual was not for the 3D slick HK model. Small changes, but general missing too many points.

YOu have to be creative yourself to get this baby to fly.

I installed rudder, and the "balsa" was not laser cut correctly, so one rudder side is a few degrees lower than other side :(

All in all, not worth saving money on the model, perhaps the plush ESC etc, but last time I order a plane for HK for sure.

130 dollars out the window more or less

I am assembling the 3D Slick right now. Upon arrival the box was severely dented and there were 2 big holes in it. I was afraid the plane would be ruined. When I opened the box the plane was completely intact thanks to the double boxing of HK and the filling with air bags.

The quality is perfect. Be aware that it is a very light wooden structure so crashes won't be forgiven.

I have an issue though with the by HK recommended HK-922MG servo's. They are too small and fall through the servo holes. Luckily, I had some spare Hitec HS-80MG servo's that fit just fine.

Another issue is the predrilled holes for the motor. They are not centered on the motor plate but way out of center to the right when you look at the plate. Is it supposed to be like this and in case it is, what is the reason for that ?

I hope to receive an answer for this issue.
