Métal composite

Oct 12, 2019

Tres facile à imprimer bonne finition. Le seul point négatif est le trou du rouleau trop petit pour passer sur le support bobine de ma ender3

too small for the spool holder

Jul 11, 2019

Its way to small for a normal spoolholder. so have to find something else know.
Also noticed some bumbs in the filament. And did pay 30 euro for this.
I do not advise this filament.

nice if you get at half price

Dec 15, 2018

iv printed with metal composite before and this is NOT metal composite, you can get a nice copper look if you sand it down and ends with grain 1200.
if the price is normal it is a rip-off, I got my spool at £7 so I'm not that disappointed
the reason for only 2 is quality because is not composite,

Nice color at very low price level

Jun 07, 2018

Good filament at incredible price. I like the color, it looks metallic but its definitely not filled with real metal. I would not cal the color copper, more like a dark brass.
+ Nice color
+ Diameter is very close to 1,75 and very consistent
+ No tangles in the spool
+ reasonably easy to print with
+ Well packaged
- Does not look like coper
- No metal fill
- Oozes just a bit to easy which can make printing it a little bit harder.
- layer adhesion was not that great, but acceptable.
The layer adhesion is a downside and the oozing too, The rest of the performance is good. At this price level i can recommend it and will buy again.

Not true Composite

Nov 19, 2017

It's not a true metal composition it's just just copper in colour.
Prints very well but at a lower temperature than other filament, works well for me at 195c, it is quite fluid at any higher temperatures.
The print colour is a antique copper look with a bit of of a sheen, looks like an old penny colour.
Got this at half price so well worth it.
Overall it looks good, prints well just remember it's not a metal composition filament.

Looks amazing and prints well / Sieht klasse aus und lässt sich super drucken

Jun 09, 2017

I tested the copper (just color no real copper inside) filament with my Creality3D CR-10 Printer and had nice prints with it. No problem with overhangs or over/under extrusion.
the only 2 downsides i had was... this filament isnt very sturdy or tough... it will break very easy! The second one was: it is a pain in the a** to change/clean the filament... i was still having some particles in my other prints after cleaning the nozzel and changing the filament to another color...so be aware to that... could ruin a big print...

Customer Rated

First the good - this is a very nice filament. Prints easily and has a copper shimmer out of the printer, which leads me to the bad. Copperfil looks very matte off the printer where this really doesn't. I don't believe this product contains any metallic copper. In fact I'm pretty sure of it. A 2m length of this weighs 6g, which is exactly the same as 2m of regular PLA. If it had any significant amount of metal in it it would be significantly heavier, like 3 times heavier for the real stuff. Trying to sand and polish this leads nowhere, as does trying to oxidise it. If there is any copper here (as opposed to coppery coloured plastic) there's not enough to make this what it's supposed to be.

Nice copper coloured filament, but don't buy it thinking it's a cheaper version of the real thing - it isn't.

Unfortunately I have rolls of the aluminium, brass and red copper to try too. As I do I'll report on those also.
