    Product Description

    CopterControl from the OpenPilot project introduces a new generation of multi-purpose aircraft stabilization platforms. The CC3D boards is an all-in-one stabilization hardware flight controller, which runs the OpenPilot firmware. It can fly any airframe from fixed wing to an octocopter and is configured and monitored using the powerful and user friendly OpenPilot Ground Control Station (GCS) software.

    The CC3D is an update to the original Copter Control board, now using the powerful single chip IMU. The board shares a lot with the Revolution platform, including the powerful OpenPilot architecture and the cross-platform Ground Control Station (GCS). The CopterControl platform has been designed from the ground up to perform a host of functions from auto-level, multi-copter, Fixed wing UAV’s and even Flybarless Helicopter support. The new included Flexiport provides either I2C connectivity or a second serial port.

    OpenPilot has made their flight controller as easy and trouble-free as possible. The Open Pilot project, whilst still young, it's trying to make Open Source much more user friendly. You won’t need to buy add-on boards or extra chip programmers. Don’t be fooled by the price. CopterControl provides comparable functionality to other high-end autopilots at a small fraction of the cost. Commercial projects will charge what they can get away with, regardless of quality or features. The non-profit OpenPilot project is different. Consider getting involved and helping the progress.

    The HobbyKing CC3D board is fully authorized by OpenPilot and built with quality import parts, (unlike the cheap copy boards that can suffer from voltage fluctuations).

    Love it. Very good and openpilot is the easiest program (I know) to use and is a perfect flight board for beginners and intermediate pilots. I also recommend that you use nylon spacers and screws to mount it.

    Excellent controller, very easy to setup. Setup is very easy with OpenPilot GCS software (free from openpilot). Supports PWM and CPPM inputs as well. I use this with Taranis Radio.

    I have received this week a new CC3D chip and the hardware isn't recognized. Used the 15.02.02 openpilot. The compass and horizon is responding normally (USB is working), but it is impossible to recognize the hardware or do a firmware upgrade. Boot, Rescue and safeboot all end in "Attempting to boot the system through USB. Could not enter DFU mode." What is wrong with this board?
    I will hae to buy a new board if this remains unsolved at a new supplier of course.

    It's a very good board and work well, but the software have a couple of bug and now the forum is close to new member, so you do not have access to any pictures or video and you can not download any file from the forum. the wiki page have change domain and the main page still link you to the old domain. so for the lack of ressource from the main team I do not recommend it. Now I have to check on other forum and youtube to fix my problem

    Absolutely brilliant flight controller. And the GCS software is a great programme. Seriously this makes other top end well know expensive brands look silly. Have been flying with this just over 3 weeks now, and no problems at all. Easy to Upgrade firmware, a breeze to understand the PC software.
