Description

Designed as a 50 to 80cc gas engine replacement, this motor is a direct bolt in for 17~30lb Sport, Scale and 3D planes. A perfect size motor for

A perfect size motor for 3D flight up to 20lbs. The motor is very well built with strong mounts, end bell and concentric double bearings at the rear to support large propellers and rotating can, especially during hard 3D flight.

This motor is very well engineered and of the highest quality.
The factory can produce only a limited number of these motors per month due to the increased time in balancing and machining such a large object.

I use this motor in a Goldwing Extra 300LP 50cc size (88-in span version), turning a Turnigy Beech 23x14 prop on 12S 8000mAh 30C Zippy cells, drawing 7000W on a fresh charge. Turnigy Monster 200A ESC handles the power management. I'm not sure about AUW but I suspect ~9kg. Unlimited vertical at just over half throttle. Incredible power and it sustains this for 7+ minutes of hard aerobatics. I could not be happier with this motor.

i use this on an electric scooter i built, its goes over 40mph pulling only 1700 watts on 3 SLA. Very efficient. I had to push the shaft to the other end, so that it would accept the gear. I am very happy with the quality and price of this motor.

This motor is well made,I have tested the motor without load and it seems to be well balanced and very reasonable for the price. However, the base plate for the motor got bent during transportation! I was able to repair it but, it would be better if the motor box had black foam like the other MultiStar motors. Also it would be a good idea if the leads were a bit longer!
I will do more testing and add numbers hopefully soon.

I have 20 flights on this motor with no problems. I fly for 3 min on 2 6s 5000mAh Skylipos in 12 s config. I am using a 120 hv eRC esc from hobby lobby. With a zinger 24x10 prop. Be sure to use lock tite on the mounting plate screws that hold the plate to the motor or they will come loose and sound like a bad bearings. Big motor with big power! First test of the motor:

12S Zippy 40C 5000mAh:

25x10 Xoar - 125A - 6200rpm

Motor is installed in a Sebart 2.2m, going to give me very good performance in this plane which is recommended for 50-60cc engines!

LOVE THIS MOTOR! I HAVE IT INSTALLED IN A GIANT RC GUYS CHEROKEE 140 100 INCH PLANE, USING TWO 6S 5800 MAH ZIPPYS IN SERIES FOR 12S AND A 20X14 PITCH PROP,AND IT FLYS GREAT! I CAN GET 10 MINUTE FLIGHT TIMES EASILY, AND IT FLYS THE PLANE AT HALF THROTTLE. THINKING ABOUT REPLACING THE RIMFIRE 65CC MOTOR IN MY GIANT TOP FLITE CORSAIR WITH THIS MOTOR. THANKS HK FOR ANOTHER GREAT PRODUCT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOTOR !!

Hello,

I would like to know the length/distance from the rearend of the motor (I mean, where motor is mounted) to where the spinner plate sits.

And I need to know the radius (or diameter) of the mounting hole circle.

Its for a scratch built LTR-14 Laird Turner, have a look at ***.glattcad.de

Thanks a lot in advance!

I HAVE THIS INSTALLED IN AN RC GUYS 100 INCH GIANT SCALE CHEROKEE 140 WITH TWO 5800 6S, 30C IN SERIES FOR 12S. I USUALLY FLY FOR 5-6 MINUTES WITH ENOUGH RESERVE FOR ANOTHER 5-6 MINUTES! DUE TO GROUND CLEARANCE, I HAVE TO USE A 20-14 PITCH PROP, BUT IT WORKS JUST FINE. THIS MOTOR AND LARGE PLANE REALLY IMPRESSES EVERYONE AT THE FIELD. I NOW FLY ALL ELECTRIC, THANKS TO HOBBY KING. I EVEN HAVE AN ELECTRIC, 87 INCH GIANT SCALE T/F CORSAIR!
